Dog Groomer

Hello, First time to post. We just moved from Hermosa Beach, CA.

Anyone know of a dog groomer in the 8032, Hirslanden area.

Thanks.

You can try Carlos http://www.hundeshop-carlos.ch/hundecoiffeur.html at Hegibachplatz. Be warned, though, that he tends to cut quite short, and can be a bit moody himself.

Re: Dog Groomer

Thanks saraTG. We had actually made an appointment with Carlos before I saw your post.

Saying he's moody is putting it nicely. Rude is more like it. I don't think we'll be seeing Carlos again.

So, I'm back hunting for a groomer.

Re: Dog Groomer

Good luck! I was trying to put it delicately, in case you had a different experience, but I guess not....

I will scout around to see if I find anything else, and let you know.

Re: Dog Groomer

Maybe ask if your vet can recommend a groomer. What dog do you have? WE have two cockers and do them ourselves. Started in the UK but due to cost here always do them - and they look like cockers not shaved rats

Re: Dog Groomer

dibbydoo, good idea, I will ask our vet. She is a great vet. She and her staff speak English. Her site is: http://www.tieraerztinnen.ch

We have a 14 year old miniature schnauzer. We've always had her groomed every 6-8 weeks in various cities in the states. The price average about $40-$65. Here it cost me 120 francs. So we'll really need to consider doing it ourselves if we can't find a another groomer.

Re: Dog Groomer

My friend has a Schnauzer and clips him herself. And he looks as he should. Just invest in professional clippers - diamond edge is a UK company that deliver here. Supplier to breeders and professional groomers in the UK.

As your dog is used to being clipped you will be fine.
