Landi is selling memory foam mattress for pets

I am on the mailing list for the Landi Newsletter.

As of tomorrow they are selling a memory foam mattress for pets.
http://www.landi.ch/Laden/deu/top-angebote_21783.shtml

It is chf 89 and it is called "Hundebett Ortho".
Meaures 100 x 72 x 12 cm with a washable cover.

Anyone have anything like this for their pets?

Ah thank you soooooooooo much for letting everybody know I have been looking for an affordable dog mattress forever. I just hope it's big enough for a Great Dane.

So I went to Landi to take a look at the mattress and of course it is too small for a Great Dane. Other than that it seems to be nice and comfy.

I still remember how Cazimir outgrew his couch LOL

If you need something bigger and are looking for an inexpensive solution, you might try Ikea baby or children's mattresses.

Baby mattresses are ca 120x60, 5-10cm and children's 160x 70, 8-12cm. When Melon's old bones needed a bit more comforting I put two mattresses together to make a thick bed. I made fleece covers (out of CHF10 fleece throws, on sale at Manor, IIRC), easy to clean. The foam is a nice egg crate foam, has held up well so far over about 8 years and four dogs. If the size isn't quite right, the foam is easy to trim.

If those are too small, you could also get the full sized foam mattresses, 200x 90 or daybed mattresses 190x 80.

(But despite having lovely comfy beds in every room in the house, where do the muttley crew sleep? On the sofas and in my bed, of course. )
