3 legged dog

So there's an old joke about a 3 legged dog named lucky who fell over every time he tried to pee.

But, a few days ago I actually saw a 3 legged stray dog lift his leg and balance on 1 hind leg and 1 front leg while it happily peed on a moped tire.

I was in tourist mode at the time, but wasn't fast enough to get the camera out before a whole gaggle of asian tourists came by and blocked my shot, otherwise I'd have photographic proof!

I truly have seen everything at this point...

Re: 3 legged dog

Well, as my Haifisch was a tripod, I can assure you - a three legged dog can balance to pee just as well as any four-footer.

Being serious here, though - was the dog truly a stray? Was this in Switzerland? While a three-legged dog can get along amazingly well, I would worry if he was living on the streets...

Re: 3 legged dog

Is it possible for a stray to survive in Switzerland?
Where will he find food or shelter (winter)?

I have never seen a stray in CH.

Absolutely! They work like the fox families that thrive in the cities easy to find food scraps and the like anywhere in large cities

Saw a horse today - it appeared to have the dog's missing leg.

I saw a three legged dog today in Adliswil. Quite honestly, I did not have the feeling that it was something really special.

Re: 3 legged dog

We 'adopted' a stray three legged cat when I was young. My brother named him Tripod and he managed just fine. We had him for 14 years and we don't know how old he was when we got him but the lack of a hind leg didn't seem to bother him.

22.3.69 - yep Saturday night fun has never been as good.

I also remember him doing two little boys ....... but that's probably not for a public forum.
