Cat Whisperer

One of our cats went missing after we moved. He seemed comfortable enough so we let him out, and he was fine for a while. Then one day he took off and was gone for a while, it was well over a week.
My wife got in touch with a type of Animal Whisperer.
Within a few hours of gettting in touch with her, the Cat came back and was hanging out, waiting to be let in.
The story from the specialist is he was very confused and another lady was feeding him. She told him that he should go to his other home.
Lo and behold he came back...
Coincedence or not, this is fantastic, I certainly believe the lady did a fine job!

Maybe a coincidence but I'm so happy for you that your cat is back home.
When I moved, I was advised to keep my cat in the house for two weeks before letting her out, even into the garden.
Then there's the old wife's tale about putting butter on their paws.

Have you got the details of this cat whisperer?? we've got an issue with one of our cats crapping on the floor rather than in the litter tray, pees in the litter tray though

Have you had the cat checked by the vet? Sometimes what appears to be a behavioral problem is actually a medical condition and the cat is trying to tell you something is wrong.

I don't get it - did this whisperer find the cat or just do some voodoo crap?

I assume they steal cats, wait to get phoned, charge a fee and then "oh the cat was confused" as they release it from the cellar.

One of my cat pees in one litter box and poops in the other one ...
Both of them don't like to use the litter box if it is not clean.

Maybe you can try putting a second litter box to see if this makes a difference, cleaning as soon as he uses the box. Maybe also try changing the type of litter.

Tried two litter trays no luck with that either, tried different types of litter.

They used to be outdoor cats but 3 or 4 months after we moved to our current house one started doing his business inside initially in the litter tray, but then started to crap outside the litter tray.

The issue probably stems from that we don't have a proper garden here but there areas that they could use, but they've both been beaten up by the local cats and tend to go outside less often now.

The chain of events is that the offending cat will pee in the litter box, come out of the litter box, stare at the litter box for few minutes then crap on the floor.

What? The lady did absolutely nothing to help your cat. You cannot seriously be suggesting that some sort of cat magic was being wrought, can you?

I mean, I'm happy your cat came back - we've sometimes had wanderers who can go elsewhere for a week or two and come back in poor shape - but what do you think your cat whisperer actually did?

Not 'cat magic' as you suggest, but I certainly believe in extra sensory perception, clairvoyance, telepathy, paranormal, absolutely!
I did also suggest that it may be a coincidence that he came back, hence I am also open on the subject.
Skills that exist with certain individuals still, thankfully. Something that has been lost over time with the unnamed influences of society.

I`ve come to believe that a cat just goes "walk-about" when moved to a new place.

Son took our cat (was his cat but always lived in this house) to his new house when he left home. He kept her locked in Apartment for 2 weeks then gave her freedom to use the cat-door. Cat went missing the next day and stayed away for a week, then just reappeared.

We were so relieved because she was used to having open fields around the house to explore - so probably she was just exploriing her new stamping ground?

Life in the Big World can be scary, when one doesn`t know the neighborhood Turf! So I guess pussy cat likes to find a spot and observe, and to seek out all the escape routes etc? Also to check out who and what lives in Close proximity?
