Re: How Can I rehome my beautiful Griffon Mix Dog 11 months?

Please... to everyone concerned..My beautiful dog will leave our family to go back to the rescue home,as nobody has put an interest in taking him.
He will leave on Thursday.
If anybody would like to follow and give this wonderful dog a great home please get in contact with Evelyne Bader at New Graceland rescue home in Afoltern a. Albis as soon as possible.
It grieves me and leaves a devastated family.
Thank you

I am so sorry- just do not know what to say that could in any way help. I'd have him immediately but OH has truly put his foot down and wants 2 dog free years before we commit ourselves again for the next 15-19 years.

Everything crossed <3

I can't take him in - landlord wouldn't allow.

Well there is no point in antagonizing your landlord as I am sure you know. Pet-friendly housing does exist though one often has to make compromises.

The EF community provides a limited opportunity to rehome a pet. I am quite confident this handsome young dog will find a new home.

I know many people who have and will only go to a shelter for a pet. Keeping my thumbs pressed for him.

Re: How Can I rehome my beautiful Griffon Mix Dog 11 months?

I asked a couple of my friends, here in Geneva, who have lost their dogs in the past couple of years. I even showed his photo. One of my friends regularly travels to Zurich, where his dog unfortunately had to be put down.

Sadly, both of them have said that it is too early to consider another dog in their lives.

I wish him luck on finding a great home. I'm sure he will. Who could resist that wee face!!

For what it's worth, the newgraceland folks are very good, and your pup will be in good hands. They will work to find him a new home.

Re: How Can I rehome my beautiful Griffon Mix Dog 11 months?

Good Morning everyone!
I am happy to be able to update this post with some very positive and wonderful news.
After conversations on this thread, I was contact by an amazing lady, who was struck by the photos of this cute dog. They came to visit him, from a long way, and decided to adopt him.
He is now with a wonderful family, in the most beautiful setting, with lots of land, forest garden.. living in a big house with another dog!!
It is the best soluton and I will always be eternally grateful to this family. He is sorely missed and there isnt a day that my children and I dont talk about him or look at his photos.. it makes me so sad even to write this..
But we kbnow that he has a much better life and to keephim would have been selfish for our needs..
A huge Thank You to the family and keep posting the pics please..
Thank you also to tose who showed such concern and heartfelt wishes..

Thanks to the English forum, and to the perseverance of muppetskin, Perro is now a much loved member of our family! We are so happy to have him in our lives. I brought him to education classes and the trainer remarked on how well socialized he was and how he had such good manners, he's a credit to muppetskin and her family. I know how much they miss him and I will be sure to always keep them updated. Here he is on our hike last Sunday. Thanks again to you all

Re: How Can I rehome my beautiful Griffon Mix Dog 11 months?

I've been following this thread since back in August and I am thrilled to hear that Perro has a new home and owners who are so fond of him.

I think it's utterly commendable how Muppetskin acted in a unfortunate situation. And it's very reassuring to hear how Irishgirl stepped in to offer a new home. I am sure he will love his new home.

Thank you to both of you for updating us and also for doing the right thing by Perro. I wish you both - and of course Perro - all the best.

Am speechless - if there is a photo of the year, which could respect an outlook then it's this. Thank you to to perro, muppetskin and irishgirl for sharing this.
