The Friday Thread: no change to German law

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35611906

I don't believe it!

Two complainants have failed in their attempt to get Germany's constitutional court to consider their claim against the laws banning sex with animals.
The two unnamed individuals say they are sexually attracted to animals.
They sought to get the court in Karlsruhe to consider whether the existing rules are unconstitutional.
But the court threw out their claim, ruling that the effect of the ban on the complainants' right to sexual self-determination was justified.

How backwards. Surely what goes on between two consenting animals is no concern of the state!

I truly don't want to step on anyone's toes here, and I see where you live in CH, but which part do you have problems believing - the fact that it was rejected or otherwise?

What if Dr. Dolittle managed to ascertain that sex was in fact consensual and that Molly the sheep wasn't just putting on lipstick to look good in the mirror?

I'm sure the two individual fell somewhere on the aforementioned 22 (23?) step gender/sexual identification spectrum and therefore are protected under EU law.

Re: The Friday Thread: no change to German law

Meanwhile in a warmer country they have a different approach...!

A Sudanese man has been forced to take a goat as his "wife", after he was caught having sex with the animal. The goat's owner, Mr Alifi, said he surprised the man with his goat and took him to a council of elders. They ordered the man, Mr Tombe, to pay a dowry of 15,000 Sudanese dinars ($50) to Mr Alifi.

(This was 9 years ago, so maybe he has eaten her by now; cheaper than a divorce.)

Dammit! Cameron (other wise known as Britain's most infamous pig botherer...allegedly!) has got an alibi.
