That was my last dog's name too. She was named after the Prisoner Cell Block H character, Lizzie Birdsworth because she was a bag of wrinkles as a puppy.

Ours was already called LIZA in her passport, she was a feral dog from Greece, which we bought from an animal welfare charity.
At first we thought about a name change, but ' Bisch es Lisi!' in our dialect has a funny connotation in regards to someone clumsy for example and it suits her to a T

Depending on her grade of behaving she is called Lizzie/Lisi, Lisebethli or LIIIZZZAAA!!!!!!

Re: Worried about my dog!

Eventually we decided our dog needed another dog around to improve the situation.
After some research we went here, they are a sort of rescue service for animals from Spain.

We went along with our dog and she seemed to strike a relationship with one of the dogs there so we arranged to take it after the usual formalities.
Seemed to be a very professional organisation, the dog came with an EU passport; he was already castrated and had a full set of recent vaccinations, a chip and evidence of a control by a Swiss vet.

They get on well together and everything is back to normal. See photo, the new one is the brown one.

Only problem so far is in the middle of the night he sneaks up onto my bed and dives under the covers; some time later I am awakened by this too warm dog pressed against me.
