Re: Keeping pets (always in twos)

My dog has two cats or rather the boss cat has one assistant cat and one servant dog. If we got another dog the force would be disturbed .

Re: Keeping pets (always in twos)

Here is a possible solution for finding a companion bird. This is a new service, in addition to the new service where they offer birds a place while owners are on holiday. Previously the only service they offered was taking in birds the owner could no longer keep.

http://www.auffangstation.ch/

In the link, look under "Vogelvermittlung in der APS".
Basically you bring your bird (subject to a heath check and agreement) and the bird chooses their own partner. It can take 2 months, and after 2 months it can be extended. The bird must have a ring or a microchip,

I can only imagine what our cockatoo would choose.

They have a live webcam in case anyone wants to take a look.

Re: Keeping pets (always in twos)

We now have three rabbits, a Ticinese (the biggest), an Ariete (floppy eared thing), and some kind of african-american variety (sorry, can't say BLACK here) from England that some guy in Riva has lots of breeding medals for.

So, is three OK?

Tom
