Josty Softzupfbürste large oval - any sightings?

A crisis is brewing in the Meloncollie household...

Despite having tried just about every brush available in Switzerland, there is only one that keeps Mr Bad Hair Day Heffalump from turning into a large ball of matted collie fur, the large oval Josty Softzupfbürste, here:

https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s15/produc...mittel-5860277

Well, after many years of outstanding service, mine has met it's match in our mischievous sprite Robin Goodfellow, chewing machine extraordinaire.

Unfortunately the brush sold by Galaxus is the small one, not the large. And it's the large I need, the small cannot get through Heffalump's double coat.

I have looked at all the usual pet retailers, online and local bricks and mortar: Meiko, Fressnapf, Qualipet, Zooplus, as well as Amazon. I bought it local years ago, this brush used to be available everywhere but seems now to have disappeared.

So might I ask a favour of all y'all pet owners? If you happen to see this brush in your local pet store, could you let me know? I'd pretty much travel the length and breadth of Switzerland for this particular Holy Grail of dog brushes.

Many thanks.

I’m pretty sure I saw them in Qualipet and Cats and Dogs. I’ll have a look when I pass close to one.

Do you know the dimensions of the large brush?

A bit of googling in french found this. http://www.bischofsa.ch/artikel.php?...=328832365429&

Could be it from the description, but no picture. Dimensions given are 15.5 x 12.5

Estimating to account for the bits chewed off, mine is 18cm x 12. The important part is the bristle head, which is 6x 12.

I don't think that's the one, as it says plastic. The Josty I am looking for has a wooden bristle head and a rubber coated handle.

(But thank you for looking, I hadn't thought to try googling in French.)

Re: Josty Softzupfbürste large oval - any sightings?

That's the one!

Never heard of this retailer, but I will call them right away.

'Solang Vorrat' are words that send chills down my spine. I'll guess it might mean the product has been discontinued, which would explain why I can't find it elsewhere. If they still have them I'll buy several.

Thanks JT, you may have saved Heffalump's coat, and my fingers. (It took me over two years to get him to accept this brush, not keen on going through another round of desensitizing...)

I can't make out whether Josty is a brand or a manufacturer. If it is a brand, you might find the same brush with optical variations under other names.

Hope it works out!
