Nah, real Glaswegians from Govan or Parkhead do not wear kilts. Nancy boys from Bearsden or Hillhead might do before they drive off to shoot grouse.
They do. But clearly you know better than my OH and his family...

Re: 'Private' car park -- "do not come here"..!

in some building complexes the throughpaths are left open to the public, but it's up to the owners really.

Usually they put up fences and gates if they don't want intruders.

I understand not wanting people periodically walking their dogs, as many leave dog shit around sadly.

Sorry, I did not mean to offend, it was meant to be light hearted banter.
To answer your first question directly. We lived for ten years in Renfrewshire. I studied at Glasgow University, so yes I do know a few Glaswegians.

So in other words, OP can continue walking his dog in the car park as the old couple can do nothingabout it besides moaning.
Risky business. In the worst case OP just got an Hausverbot (ban from entering the premises) and returning to the place would be trespassing. As usual and as the custom is, trespasser can be shot on sight (*).

Why the heck do you think we Swiss have all an assault rifle and 50 government provided rounds in our closet? Surely not just for the communist thread from the east.

Btw: Trespassing can be handled with up to 3 years in prison or an income based monetary penalty. (Art. 186 Swiss Criminal Code https://www.admin.ch/opc/en/classifi...ndex.html#a186)

(*) Appropriate self deference can be used to defend against trespasser and to protect ones property. This can be from just shoving away, to using force, even deadly force if the situation can not be resolved otherwise, it is appropriate and necessary, speak the only option left to protect peoples life.

Are you sure that the threat from east did not supply the weapons?

And what if one trains martial arts? Is the self defence still seen as appropriate?

Anyways, axman could post a sign with 3yr in prison quoted, wonder if that would work. With the "camera sourveillance" added?

A perfume? Are you kidding me, in this era of gender scale?

Fill it with water mixed with senovis a lot of senovis
Whatever works

We actually did something like that back in the days. Water only but by the bucket, it was just another water battle for us. The idiot used our property to get to work without asking and laughed out loud when Mom told him to use a different route. The next day he ended up soaking wet when he tried to get to work, and again when he came back in the evening. The following day he turned around when he saw us and never tried again.

Back pipe face (needs a punch in the face)
Proper translation please. It is cheek whistle face. Whereas a check whistle is the north German word for nothing less than an ear fig which is the same as a mouth bell.

At the moment, when there are far more people out hiking, in the forest and on the trails, dogs should be kept on a lead at all times. I don't care how friendly the dog is or if they just want to play, in these times of social distancing people don't want strangers and their dogs near to them. I certainly don't and neither do I want to deal with mine getting bitten, should the strange dog be not that friendly
Right now, the dogs should be on lead in the forest to treat wildlife with care. Additionally, every dog, whose recall is not a 100% reliable should be on a leash. I also support the "yellow dog project", and obey the rule to leash my dog, when a leashed dog approaches.

However, if you are forced - for whatever reasons - to walk your dog on leash, please be respectful with other dog owners and stay away from areas where dogs are allowed to run free.

Walk your dogs elsewhere.

So... what kind of action can be taken against a repeat offender?

There is a pathway between our apartment buildings that is frequently used by outsiders as a shortcut to the bus stop. There is a sign saying that the path is only for residents, and another sign showing the proper route to the bus stop. But we keep seeing the same people trespassing and even told them a few times. What action can we take? Take their picture and send it to the police?
Just wondering, are they noisy and rude, do they leave litter everywhere, do they stare and make unpleasant comments, do they smoke under your balcony, oder?

Are you sure warmduscher means 'gay'. Duden says it means 'wimp'.

So anyone who behaves sensibly is called a wimp?
Came up with this on the internet: Die Warmduscher-Liste
https://www.gerstlauer.de/andreas/fun/warmduscher.html
