Muscle atrophy in an old dog

My Pup is almost 16. Shes fairly healthy all considering, but slowing down and weve noticed some muscle atrophy.

Our vet has suggested some anabolic Steroids to build muscle, and were considering a careful application of these meds.

Ive also seen fortetropin mentioned as a possible supplement, but not sure if its available here.

Anyone have experience with either of these modalities?
