birthday party for person with puppies

I'm looking to have a birthday party for a person
I want to have / hire a bunch of puppies to be the main attraction.

I've seen this in the USA where someone (a dog breeder maybe) will bring a collection of puppies for the party goers to enjoy the company of a puppy.

This way the puppy gets attention (maybe even adopted) and the party people get a great big smile.

I'm not able to find this type of service --- does anyone have recommendations?

Location is in Zurich.

Rent-a-puppy businesses go against pretty much the entire ethos of responsible puppy rearing.

It is unlikely you will find a Swiss breeder or Tierheim willing to go along with your idea, due to the risks strangers pose to the puppies.

You might consider another type of dog-related activity.

For intance, the Husky Lodge in Muotathal SZ organizes various events with their sled dogs, both for children and adults.

FYI, to address your comment on a party as an adoption event:

Unlike in other countries, puppies rarely need help getting sold or adopted in Switzerland, there is far more demand than puppies born here. Breeders have waiting lists, some for years. Most Tierheim phones ring off the hook as soon as young puppies come into their care.

Thank you for the info. I'm looking into the web address you mentioned now. It looks pretty cool and, even though it's not what I thought I wanted, this may be better.

Thanks for the info, I'm looking into the link you provided now. It seems pretty cool.

There are also plenty of services for ponies and other farm animals that would do what you have described. Often they are more geared toward children but I don’t see why they wouldn’t do an event for an older audience especially given that they must all be struggling financially right now. I saw in FR there is a place you can go for an hour or more hike with alpacas.

I can definitely vote for the Husky lodge! It was one of the first activities I did with my work team before I officially moved here. We ended up snowshoeing with them.

What I learned is, I hate snowshoeing. But love huskys.

If you want something dog and puppy related, you could also consider the St Bernard museum in Martigny. https://www.barryland.ch/ They usually always have puppies to be seen and get up close to, but do check before you go, and I'm afraid Covid restrictions may also limit how close you can get to them these days.
