My partner and I have recently got ourselves a Bernese puppy. She’s only ten weeks but we want to get her into classes ASAP so she grows up right. Anyone got advice on good English speaking puppy or dog training classes in Zurich?

First things first:

Your pup is List 1, so you are required to do the set of age specific cantonal courses. The first is Welpenförderung, which needs to be done by 16 weeks.

You need to do the courses with a trainer certified by the canton, be aware that certification is different for the puppy and adult courses.

Are you able to do courses in German at all, say if the Trainer or another participant translates when needed? Or do you need a class where everything is in English?

If you need courses in English you might want to contact EF member Cherrytree, who is a respected trainer. (She does classes inGerman as well.)
