Relocating to the UK / Europe

Hi everyone!

I have seen a post about this topic but the information does not seem correct anymore. You see, I am relocating back to the UK from Zurich and I've asked my vet for a good company that can take care of taking my care and they recommended ACE. However, their website is no longer working and I was wondering if someone could help me? Does anyone know of any good companies that can transport my cat to the UK / Europe?

Any advice would be great as I am getting more and more nervous about this.

Why on earth do you need a company to do this?

If you drive put it in the car. If you fly check it in as baggage (on an airline that takes pets). Make sure itís rabies vax is up to date and it has its tape worm treatment.

Both Swiss and British Airways will transport Live Animals. Easyjet doesnít. KLM does a very good job as do Lufthansa but they involve a transit through their hubs.

Also depends on how you're doing the move. When we moved here we had our cat boarded out with the animal specialist moving company for a week before she was flown over to Geneva. Meanwhile we had 3 days for the moving company to pack us up, then get the stuff over and a day and a half to unload it at the other end. Certainly didn't want the cat in all that coming and going with strangers all around moving things. We had a few days to settle ourselves in and get furniture, etc, in place before I drove to Geneva airport to pick her up.
