Travelling to UK with dog

Does anyone have any experience flying to London with a small dog from Zurich under the new post Brexit regulations? Was it a straight forward process? What airlines would you recommend?

Except they're not an approved airline for flying pets into the UK.

Bear in mind that pets travelling to the UK can only be transported in the cargo hold; it's not allowed to take them in the passenger compartment.

I see.

Worked fine in the passenger compartment out of the UK.

Yes, they can go in the cabin *out* of the UK, but not in. Therefore you have to pay for them in the cargo hold at ca. CHF 750

Best bet if travelling to the UK with a pet is to drive and go via the Eurotunnel

Here is the link to the Swiss Airlines page for travel with live animals:

We used Swiss when we flew back from Tokyo to Zurich (albeit many years ago) and they were great.

Re: Travelling to UK with dog

Id recommend either Eurotunnel (if driving) or flying to Amsterdam then ferry from Hoek von Holland to Harwich, easy train connections both ends.
