While I'm at it, here's some of Rashid taken yesterday, he's quite a show off!

Re: Tired, stressed & emotional. But celebrating a wonderful new arrival!

On Friday we took Rheemah to Marbach in southern Germany for one of the main Arabian Horse shows in Europe. It was her first time in a trailer (and a 4 hour drive each way), her first time off the mountain and her first time with other horses but she behaved impeccably. Unfortunately she had a swollen knee that got worse during the weekend, it was only when we were preparing her with a professional presenter that we decided it was too bad to put her in the competition, but she got many admiring comments and glances from some of the worlds top Arabian breeders.

I don't mind admitting that I was bloody proud to see her fully groomed and going through her paces and to see dozens of cameras come out to click away at our "baby".

It's just astonishing to think that in just 14 short months she has gone from this....

.... to this...

Hopefully next year she will be fit to show off in the ring!

She's very handsome!

I can't believe the difference between the cute little thing in the first photo and the noble creature you took to Germany.

Give her a carrot from me!

Re: Tired, stressed & emotional. But celebrating a wonderful new arrival!

I've been working so much at the new market recently that yesterday was my first day working with the horses in 3 weeks. I can't beleive how much they've changed in that time! Fareed is losing his brown coat and is turning dark grey.

Rashid is becoming a real showman, he has so much proud arrogance in the way he trots around. Here's some photos of him taken over the last 6 weeks or so.

I've also been working on a home page for the stable here, it still needs a lot of work and we also now have a Facebook page where I'll be posting regular updates about the horses.

What beautiful pictures, grumpy! Amazing to see that kind of presence (esp. as shown in the third picture) from such a young animal. Talk about potential.

I do wonder if that chicken was laying extra-bio eggs after trotting with the ponies.
