Well, we take our dog to a Tier Pension in Mumpf. It's reachable by train but I usually take the car because it really cuts my travel time. We like it, our vet recommended it and our dog likes it there a lot (she's happy to go and doesn't always want to leave!) and the staff is very capable and friendly.

If this seems too far for you, ask your vet, they should know (of) a place (our vet takes his own pets to Mumpf).

Hi, I am moving to Basel in April. I currently own a horse and I am trying to decide if I should bring her to Basel or leave her in the states. Have you had any luck finding a barn? If so, what is the cost of board and lessons? How far is the facility from Basel?

Um from what I have seen, nobody has actually named a decent place and recommended it.. there are a million threads looking for places to ride, but few of them are all that helpful.

It may seem like a weird suggestion, but the only thing I can think of to do would be hassle somebody who is already a horse owner and see if they can help you..
On this website http://www.tier-inserate.ch/ you can see the horses section (Pferde & Ponys) on the left.. maybe you can find horses for sale or looking for a "Reitbeteiligungen" in or near BL and ask their owners for advice?
I've emailed a few people from this site, not always enquiring about what their ad is about (a couple of times I would be asking if they had any work at their place etc) and they could usually speak English and would usually send friendly replies..

Thats the only thing I can suggest unless somebody here can help you
