English-speaking vet in Luzern?

We will be bringing our 6 yrs old Labrador to Switzerland in July and I'm looking for a recommendation for a good English-speaking vet in Luzern or in the area. Have looked through similar posts here just now and deciding from the http://www.vet-look.ch/ list, I guess the choice is there but would highly appreciate some comments from personal experience. I do speak some German but definitely not enough to consult with the vet... so definitely looking for an English-speaking person (as I understand from previous posts, not all receptionists may speak English but I think I could manage there, not with the doctor though)

All the preparations for bringing our dog over should be ok, will also have his vaccinations repeated at our own vet back at home, so I do hope we will not actually have the need for any serious vet assistance... but then again you never know and I would much prefer to start the contact with "the right" vet in the beginning, starting from the registration process, so he/she would also see my dog when he's well, should there eventually be any problems later on.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Re: English-speaking vet in Luzern?

Long overdue update to the original post, as I have had a couple of PMs about this, happy to let any new arrivals know that there is indeed a very nice English-speaking vet at Kleintierpraxis Löwenplatz, more info and all contact details: http://kleintierpraxis-luzern.ch/

As assumed, the assistant only speaks German while Dr Bühler herself is fluent in English. From our experience, they both can be warmly recommended

Hello!!!

We take our dog to that one vet, i am sorry i didnt see your post before!!

Anyhow, tell us about your Lab! I live very close to the Vet place, so if you want a play date, i am up for it! My dog is a lab-collie cross, and she loves to play!

Hi Delfinita, sure we're up for a play anytime except for next week when we're out of town but otherwise... would be great to meet you!

Our Lab is 6yrs old but still a very playful boy and actually missing out on friends to play with here, so he'd definitely enjoy meeting up with a new girlfriend
