| The dog boarding would be for either situation --
I am definitely able to do visits for feeding / walking while the dog would stay in his own home.
Dog boarding in my home would be based on my meeting the dog and owner and making sure we would be a good fit for an overnight....
So yes to both situations | |

Hi Stacey, first of all good luck in the search of clients, you'll see that you will be totally booked in a matter of months, my husband and I used to do it before having our babys and we missed a lot, but is imposible to continue doing for us now. Im not quite sure, but when the dog owner goes on vacations, Im afraid you cannot just visit the dog and give food or walk, you will either have to stay at the house for the hole period of time or bring it to yours. Here rules about pet sitting are very strict as they treat dogs like you will treat a baby almost. Someone can correct me if im wrong but you are not allowed to leave a dog unsupervised for longer than 3 hours and not in a normal basis, like only if you go grocery shoping once or twice a week etc.
My point is, if you are offering dog boarding, the best way is to bring it home with you, and you also need to check the apartment contract about pet policy. When our neigbohr move into his place he didnt have any pets, but months later he adopted a dog and that was the reason he had to move out of the apartment, because he didnt inform that he will have a dog in his apartment, even do' the apartment was pet friendly, for the manager he broke a rule. we had 2 french bulldogs of our own plus the comming and going of doggies, but we did let know the apartment manager about the dogs.
Best of luck again. If you know german you might want to advertise also in
www.petsitter24.ch they always need dog walkers.
