Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hi all!!

Your pet
Type of animal: 4 gerbils
Breed: gerbil type
Age of animal: 2 years
Animal spayed?: is it possible to spay a gerbil?!
Gender: Female

Your environment:
House / Apartment?: 1 bedroom flat ground floor
Garden?: Balcony and access to a courtyard directly from apartment
Any other pets?: 4 defenseless gerbils
Your location: Basel (Kleinbasel)

Any other information

I only have small 4 gerbils as pets so not really in need of a pet sitter, however I am more than happy to offer some pet sitting services! I love all animals so I am not restricted (however my favorite is dogs )

I can either look after the animal at my flat or am willing to visit yours however I would be slightly worried looking after cats at mine in case they try to eat my gerbils Oh and I have just recently done my SKYN theory course as well!

Available the majority of the time so just PM if you ever need any help!

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hi,

We are going away for a long weekend leaving this Thursday July 18th, in the morning. We are looking for someone that would like to take our friendly 11 year old lab mix into their home for a long weekend. He lost his older sister recently and we do not want to put him in a cage for 4 days or for him to be all alone. He is very loving and well behaved with people and animals.

Please PM us if you are able or interested.

Willing to also watch someone else's dog if we are around.

Lab-mix, 11 years old, not fixed, friendly and listens well

Re: Pet Sitting Network

What a brilliant idea! I am not over in Switzerland yet but soon will be , with my Labradoogle . I have only once put him in kennels...never again. I have a pet sitter here in England who is lovely .i would love to care for other dogs as he is a very friendly chap. I will definitely join the group when I can give details of property and location (not in residence yet) but will not be working so sounds like a lovely idea. if I had a trusted pet sitter/owner to care for him on my odd break home I would be happy to return the favour I would like to get to know the person caring for him though first !
Good luck I do hope it gets of the ground
Ps I will be close to Basel probably over the border as I need a garden for Alfie

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Your pet
Type of animal: 3 indoor cats
Breed: house cats
Age of animal: all 1 year
Animal spayed?: yes
Gender: All female

Your environment:
House / Apartment?: 4.5 bedroom flat ground floor
Garden?: Balcony with net
Any other pets?: 2 more cats (1 male cat, 1 female kitten, read below)
Your location: Adliswil

Any other information
Hi everyone, I am new to the forum . I've been searching for someone to take care of our cats during our holidays, Aug 24 to Sept 8, without success. The person who usually helps us and has two cats (1 spayed male and one non spayed kitten) is leaving on vacation at the same time. We would like to put all the cats in my apartment and have someone visit them, or that someone or several people could take them to their home during our holiday.
This would be a great help and highly appreciated. I would of course return the favor anytime (not for dogs as I am not experienced, but any other indoor animal). I can take your pets to my home, or visit them at your place if you live around Adliswil (I do not have a car).
Please pm me

Re: Pet Sitting Network

I have a 7 year old miniature pinscher, and we're frequently looking for a reliable dog-lover to watch her when we travel. I'm located in the Luzern area.

If you're in the area, I'm happy to exchange services and walk/sit your dog

Hi, great network!

Your pet
Type of animal: Bunny
Breed: medium-sized mixed-breed
Age of animal: 2
Animal spayed: not yet (but thinking about it, if it is better for him)
Gender:Male

Your environment
House / Apartment: Apartment
Garden: No, but we have a balcony

We let our bunny out of his cage when we're home so he can run around and join us on the couch. He is very sweet and social and loves to play games.

Did this excellent idea get up and running? I have 3 parrots and need someone to stay for 2 nights at the end of this month in Wädenswil,
happy to reciprocate if the pet can come to me

Hi Jes,

to this day I have found no one to help out on this thread. The ones living close to me haven't responded to my pm...

I would gladly help your parrots however I would not take the risk because I have 3 cats :-)

Hi everyone! I've been searching for someone to take care of my Gigi on some weekends and holidays as I am trying to travel around beautiful Europe as much as possible. I would like someone who could keep her in their home. Gigi is fairly low maintenance but requires eye drops daily. She is not good around cats but would be ok with other dogs although she hasn't spent a lot of time around them. She does bark initially upon meeting new people, but usually won't bark much otherwise unless someone is at the door. She is very protective and sweet. This would be a great help and highly appreciated. I would of course return the favor. I can take your pet to my home, or visit them at your place if you live around Bern (I do have a car).

What an excellent idea - we only have small animals but I'd love to 'borrow' a dog or cat from time to time as a welcome guest.

Your Pet.
type of pet: 2 rabbits, one gerbil
breed: dwarf
age of pet: about 2 years
spayed? one yes (male), one not (female), gerbil is a boy.

Your environment:
house, detached
large garden
Basel outskirts.

Thank you for the great idea.
Hi terramundi,

I have been reading this thread and noticed that you have said that you wouldn't mind "borrowing" someone's pet for a while I wonder if that is still the case?

The reason I ask is that my husband and I are moving to Basel at the end of September and we have our two Arabian Mau kitties who we are of course bringing with us. Whilst we settle in and find a place to live we will be put up in a hotel and wont be able to have them with us. I have looked into the cattery in Basel but it sounds a little bit strange in that they put lots of cats together in one room, I'm not sure my two would appreciate that very much!

I am looking to see if anyone would consider borrowing my two for the first few weeks that we arrive in Basel, until we can find a new home? I know it is a big ask and we would of course pay for this, but I think I would feel more comfortable if they were in a family home than a large cattery.

Please do let me know your thoughts (or anyone else who may be interested!). Thank you so much in advance.

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hi all,

I am new to this forum and am moving in December 2013 to Zug with my dog from NYC! I will be travelling quite a bit and am looking for someone to watch my beautiful girl (a rescue from Ecuador!) while I am gone, anywhere from 3 days to up to 2 or 3 weeks.

Maizie looks like a mini golden retriever and weighs just under 25 lbs (just over 11 kg). She is very sweet, she is 8 yrs old, is spayed and completely housetrained. I will be living in an apt that has a terrace. She is my only pet.

I would love to hear if there is anyone in the area willing to take her - I would return the favor of course!

Thank you!

hi, Ajsorota, I live in Cham - just 4km from Zug. We have a sweet and gentle black Lab who is great with other non-dominant dogs. We can do a meet-n-greet when you have time.

Hi, I'm not sure this thread is still active, but I would love to find someone nearby to work trade. Someone who is willing to come by twice a day or even stay here if looking to vacation in Zurich. I love dogs, have had many over the years and have an open schedule in order to accommodate your needs. This is a great idea, I hope its still active
