Dog
Breed: Beagle mix
Age of animal: about 6 years
Animal spayed? Yes
Gender: female

Uma is a very affectionate, people-loving, dog and is very pleasant to be around. She comes to work right now, where she is far more popular than me. She enjoys hugs on the sofa, playing, and sniffing things outdoors. She is quiet and only barks when around other dogs. She walks well on a leash and is under good voice control under most circumstances. She is obedient, pretty trustworthy, and doesn't do crazy stuff. Her main issue is that she has fear-induced aggression with unknown dogs when outdoors and off-leash. No off-leash dog parks for Uma. However, she is good with non-dominant dogs she has been introduced to indoors. She is scared of cats. She gets along with our rabbit and chickens.

Your environment
House / Apartment: Apartment
Garden: Probably not
Any other pets: Rabbit
Your location: Basel

Situation:
My wife and I are moving to Basel from NY on Tuesday with Uma and our rabbit. Initially I will be at work during the days and my wife will be home with the furry ones. However, from August onward my wife will be away and then she'll be starting work in September in Basel. We plan to get an apartment close to work so we can walk Uma in the middle of the day. To date, Uma has been coming to work with us on a daily basis so the looming days on her own will be a new thing to her. I'd be keen to meet people in Basel who would like to have Uma as a companion on one or two week days each week. If anyone is interested, we could meet for a coffee or a drink and see whether things might work out.

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hello everyone!

I am looking for someone to look after my two cats in the beginning of August for a few days (a week to 10 days). It doesn't have to be every day, it can be every second day. I can compensate whoever can help, we can discuss the rate, or we can arrange for me to look after your pets when you need it. We are ideally looking to build a long term relationship with a trustworthy person.

Cats
Breed: Common European
Age of animal: 5 years and 1 year old
Animal spayed? Yes
Gender: male

They are both very well behaved, quiet cats. The older one sleeps most of the day, and when he is awake he is very cuddly. The younger one is the definition of a scaredy cat, and your interactions will be very limited (if any).

We live at about 5 minutes from Bahnhof Altstetten. PM me for details, thanks!

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hello

Getting a bit desperate to be honest.

We're new here from London and we stupidly booked a holiday for 2 weeks in October without sorting out a dog sitter first. We had no idea it'll be that hard to find what we took for granted in London!

Hoping that someone can just look after our friendly mutt in their house. She doesn't need a lot of work, just attention and then hoovering

Your pet
Type of animal: dog.
Breed: Lab/Collie cross
Age of animal: 5
Animal spayed: yes

The envirnoment we are looking for:
House / Apartment: Doesn't matter
Garden: Doesn't matter
Any other pets: Prefer no, but beggars can't be choosers
Your location: Adliswil, ZH

If you can or know someone who can look after our dog for 4-18 October, please PM me.

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hi all.

I'm a F/27 and I often have free weekends which I like to spend actively. A long walk with a dog is one of my favorite activities (my fam owns a golden), but because I work full time I cannot have my own canine here in Switzerland.

If anyone is looking for someone to take in their pooch on an odd weekend, let me know and it would be great to work out some dates.

Pet I am looking for:
Type of animal: dog
Breed: preferably mid-sized, active and good-natured
Age of animal: does not matter
Animal spayed: does not matter

My environment
Apartment: small apartment but close to a forest
Garden: No
Any other pets: No
Your location: around Thalwil ZH

My dog is really sweet but very anxious when she is alone. Im hoping to find someone that is willing to hang out with her for two situations, either during the day when I am at work and if I have weekend trips that aren`t very dog friendly. I have a weekend trip in the plans for October and would love to find a place for her to stay Kids LOVE her!

Re: Pet Sitting Network

About to move to Basel with our 2 cats. Currently looking for someone who would be willing to pop in, give them a few biscuits and clear the litter tray in exchange for cash or us returning the favour. We are also interested in being god-parents to a dog, walking or caring in your home - not able to bring into our flat due to the cats.

Our pets
Type of animal: Cat
Breed: Burmese
Age of animal: 8
Animal neutered: Yes
Gender: 1 Male, 1 Female
Temperament: he loves cuddles but takes a bit of time to come around; she is anyone's! Neither have ever scratched or bitten anyone.

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hi all,
I am not sure how effective was this thread. I received many messages, I sent various email and replies but got no answer.
I wonder if we could create a calendar of pet needs and then you can reach out to the corresponding person.

Pet: dog
Breed: Beagle
Gender: Female
Age: almost 3 years

I wonder if someone could take care of the dog between Dec. 19th and Jan 3rd?
Your answer is much appreciated.
Thank you,
Clara
