Because of this, I would prefer someone who could come to them when I am away. And in exchange I would be happy to do the same for someone else. I have owned cats all my life, so comfortable there, but not a dog person-- would be a bit lost. Would also be happy to look after any other small animal-- rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, reptiles (w/ some instruction-- love them but never owned them), insects, etc. I can speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, some broken German...

I am such an animal nut, I really enjoyed just going through everyone's posts to read about the different types of pets and what all of you have said about them!
Pet: KiKi
Type of pet: Cat
Age: 3 months old (just a little furry purr machine)
Breed: Short hair domestic house cat
She hasn't been spayed yet as she is still too young.
I live in a ground floor/basement apartment, with a big backyard and courtyard. Unfortunately, having a dog here would be difficult as my landlord lives in the rest of the house above me and wouldn't be too thrilled with one running around. But I'm sure he wouldn't mind (and wouldn't know) if another kitty came to stay for a bit.
KiKi would be THRILLED to have another furry friend to play with. We have tons of toys here and they would get lots of attention as I work from home and am just away a bit in the evenings. Vice versa arrangement would be great as well. I live in Geneva. |

Age of animal: 6 years old
Animal spayed: Yes, he's had the chop
Gender: Male

House / Apartment? Apartment with a balcony
Garden: Nope
Any other pets: Nope
Your location: Zurich Affoltern Any other information
Our cat Efe is deaf....which has its benefits and disadvantages. The benefits are that he is not startled by noise and has a very confident personality. The disadvantage is that his deafness also makes him cheekier and unable to hear you if you want to verbally tell him off LOL His deafness also means we are able to shave him, so he doesnt have all the messy fur that he would have if he had his longer coat....
He is an EXTREMELY cuddly cat. If you lie on a sofa, he will want to lie on your lap or your chest, and when you first come home he will purr and follow you around like a dog...sometimes I think he is more like a dog than a cat! But he is an eater!!! So beware of his tricks in making it seem like you haven't fed him, when you fed him just 20 minutes ago! He will also go on counter tops and knock over remote controls, etc if given the chance!

Hi there this is such a great idea. I have two beautiful cats both very friendly, very affectionate and never scratch. Both cats are allowed outdoors but we prefer keeping them indoors during the day (especially in this heat) and let them run wild in the evening. We are looking for someone to look after them from 25 - 27th June, we prefer to keep them at our apartment as I think it would be too stressful to move them. I am happy to look after other cats/dogs whenever I can as my fiance and I both love animals and have grown up with them all our lives.

Hello,
This is my first post on English Forum although I am a long time lurker. I recently came across the Pet Sitting Network thread and thought what a good idea it was.
Due to having been let down by someone who was supposed to come over to feed my cat for a four days (1-4 July), I find myself with a bit of a problem. Then I remembered this thread! So I am posting my information in the hope that some kind person in Geneva would be able to help. My pet
Type of animal: Cat
Age of animal: 7
Animal spayed: Yes
Gender: Male Mv environment
House / Apartment: Apartment
Garden: No
Any other pets: No
Location: Geneva (centre) Additional information
My cat Alfie is a treasure. He has always been looked after in my apartment when I go away (not often, max three times a year for a week maximum each time). So I would be looking for someone to come over once a day to put out some food and water and give him a cuddle (he likes cuddles!). Of course, in exchange, I would be available to do the same for someone else in the Geneva area.
Many thanks,
Maryella

Hello - we're currently looking for a dog sitter with preference on finding someone local to come and check on our dog at lunch time (I start a new job after being unemployed for one year!) My pet
Type of animal: Dog
Breed: Cavalier King Charles - Blenheim
Age of animal: 10 months
Animal spayed: No
Gender: Male
Mv environment
House / Apartment: Apartment
Garden: no
Any other pets: Rabbits x2 (!)
Location: Versoix, Geneva Additional information
Obviously this thread (from what I read so far) is only for the occasional animal-sitting. We'd really like to find somebody who can check on our dog once per day and walk him for 20 minutes... any suggestions would be very welcome |
