Your location: 8045 Zurich

The biggest dog park in the city (Brunaupark) is our backyard! Nina goes for minimum two long walks a day, morning and afternoon. The park is always full of other dogs, mostly off leash and it is the ideal place for them to socialize. Playing with other dogs is Nina's favorite thing to do so having another dog around would be a great experience. Especially if medium or large size dogs. We are also searching for a place for her to stay from December 18th to January 3rd.

If anybody is interested in joining us for walks with their dog, we would be very happy as well.

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hello EF pet owners:

My husband and I are going to the US for the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holiday. We are looking for someone to pet sit our 18 year old mini schnauzer. She sleeps most of the day, eat at 7 am and 7 pm and goes out for bathroom breaks 4 times a day.

She needs more than what a local kennel can offer as she needs more dedicated care. If there is anyone willing to pet sit or can offer an alternative solution or recommend a place that offers senior pet care, please let me know. We are located in Basel.

Thanks
Misti

Our pet:
Type of animal: dog
Breed: Mini Schnauzer
Age of animal: 18 years
Animal neutered? Yes
Gender: Female

Our environment: Flat
Garden? No
Any other pets? No
Your location? Basel area, by the Zoo.

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hello!

My husband and I just moved to Lausanne and we are looking for a dog sitter over the Xmas/New Year holidays as we'll be back in the US. We have a little terrier mix who is very sweet. He is very friendly with other dogs, but can be timid around cats and children. He's fairly lazy and sleeps most of the day in between 3 or 4 walks a day. We are currently living in sublets while trying to find a permanent place in Lausanne (which is kind of a nightmare!) but we would be willing to provide housing if we are situated by then. If not, we would prefer a home rather than a boarding place since our little guy loves social interaction : )

Your pet
Type of animal: dog (name: Henry)
Breed: Terrier mix (maybe Lhasa or Shih tzu too)
Age of animal: 19 months
Animal neutered? yes
Gender: male

Your environment

House / Apartment?: TBD (but looking for an apartment)
Any other pets? no
Your location: Lausanne

Sincerely,
Tamara

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hi!
I like the whole idea of pet sitting.
We have a little dog, very calm and quiet (Bichon Malteese).
We live in Lausanne and will be happy to exchange some pet care days.

Your pet: Bichon Malteese
Type of animal: Dog
Breed: Bichon Malteese
Age of animal: 16 months
Animal spayed: no
Gender: Male

Your environment
House / Apartment?: Apartment
Appartment: Room enough for taking care of another dog. For the moment our dog has behaved with other dogs.

Any other pets: No
Your location: Lausanne
We'd like to exchange pet care services if possible. We'll be out of town from the 24th december to the 2nd January included. Do you need another date to exchange?

Kind regards.
Jaime.

Re: Pet Sitting Network

What a fabulous idea!

My husband and I would be more than happy to pet sit at any time - for me its like getting more pets but being able to give them back after a while which is a perfect solution as far as my husband is concerned!

In the meantime we have two large house rabbits which need to be looked after over Christmas - the 22nd to the 29th December. They need a relatively large space with no visable wires if they were to stay at someone else's house - they're not chewers but you never know when they might change their mind! They are litter trained and are very affectionate. They have not lived with other animals before.

Your pet
Type of animal: rabbits x 2
Breed: French Lop
Age of animal: 8 months
Animal spayed: yes
Gender: 1 x male, 1 x female.
Your environment
House / Apartment?: Apartment
Garden: No
Any other pets: No
Your location: 8600 - Dubendorf

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hi all, great thread.
I have a bit of an issue with your system here since I am willing to take in a small dog amongst my other three, but am looking for a sitter for one of my dogs, someone who does not have a dog of their own. The dog I am seeking a sitter for is a ten years old cocker spaniel who enjoys a calm environment and does not appreciate the company of most other dogs. That said, I have two other playful chihuahuas in my home who would be welcoming and willing to occupy any other dog under 15 lbs.

Your pet
Type of animal: dog
Breed: American cocker
Age of animal: 10
Animal spayed? spayed
Gender: female

Your environment

House / Apartment? big apartment
Garden? 3 balconies, one with large litter boxes.
Any other pets? 2 chihuahuas
Your location: Rapperswil

Any other information
Am looking for a sitter Dec 24th-26th

Hi all! We would LOVE to be involved with a pet-sitting network, as we have two adorable animals of our own..

Your environment

He is very easy to take care of. He is really lazy and doesn’t require too much walking. He is very calm and doesn’t bark. He is a bit like a big cat. He is really good with cats and children but he doesn’t like aggressive dogs much.

Very cuddly, fun and friendly cats - they truly are adorable and easy to manage (no hair for one thing so very convenient in apartments!!)

I would need help to take care of them during Christmas, anyone? I am happy to take care of your pets anytime during the year, I am normally available all week-ends and my cats are animal-friendly (as long as yours are too and used to cats!).

Re: Pet Sitting Network

What a great idea!

We live in a house with a large yard in Binningen near Allschwil Vitacours fitness trail/park. We walk our dog, Coco there everyday. Coco is an extremely friendly chocolate Labrador (pictured)

Breed: Labrador
Age of animal: Almost 4
Animal spayed? Yes
Gender Female

Your environment

House / Apartment? House
Garden Yes
Any other pets? No
Your location Binningen (Basel)

Any other information

We have two children (10 & 12) who love dogs, so the animal we look after must be friendly to children, and of course get along with our dog.
