Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hi all, I am looking for people to take care of my two cats in Jan.20~Feb.20,2011 in Brugg. For exchange, I can help me from March. 20th to May. 31st or I can pay.

Type of animal: 2 cats
American domestic
one is 2 years, the other is 14 years (she sleeps most of the time)
Animal spayed? Yes
one is male, the other is female

House / Apartment, Apartment on 2th floor
Garden? No
Any other pets? No
Your location, Brugg (7 mins to Baden, 20 to Zurich, lots of direct trains).

- They are very quiet, friendly cats. A few things you need to do are adding food, water and cleanning cat litters (dispose to my toilet) once a day, and change the litters once a week. Sometime using vacuum to clean the place (less than 15 m2). On average, it will take you about 10~20 mins a day.

Best,

THAT is a wonderfull idea! Normally, my dog is visiting a dog sitter when I'm absent, but hopefully I'll find someone to share!
We recently moved to lake Zurich / Obersee and I would be glad to find someone to take care of my dog from time to time - in exchange I would take care of your animals. If you are interested, please send me a PM.

Animal spayed? Yes

Any other pets? Do fishes count?
Your location Lachen SZ

Furthermore, I would be interested in dog walks with other dog owners in this area.

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Just created a Zug canton Dog Walk thread.

Pet's name: Umbria
Type of animal: dog
Breed: Labrador (black)
Age of animal: 2 years plus
Animal spayed? Yes.
Gender: female, 26kg

Our environment
Apartment on two floors with spiral stairs
Garden? No, but there are lovely meadows nearby and Eizmoos forest quite near
Any other pets? No.
Your location: Cham, Zug canton

Next dog-sitting date: Jan 27-30 (Thursday evening till Sunday evening)

Would anyone like to take care of Umbria? She's a qualified guide dog but not allowed to guide because of gun-shyness. Very friendly, used to cats and perfectly house-trained.

Hi

We are leaving on holiday for two weeks in February and cannot take our (small) dog with us. As she is very loving and used to having people around we do not wish to leave her in a kennel or similar environment - would anybody be interested in looking after our dog during this time? We live in the Zurich region. We would be happy to return the favour when you need someone to look after your dog.

Additional details:
My pet

Breed: Dachshund
Age of animal: 19 months
Animal spayed: No
Gender: Female

Mv environment
House / Apartment: Apartment
Garden: no, but balcony/winter garden

Location: Canton of Zurich

Additional information
Happy to look after similar-sized dogs that are used to an apartment (with plenty of walks, of course - average 4 times a day)

Re: Pet Sitting Network

We're traveling to the States 30 March - 5 April and we're also generally looking for people who'd be available for a few hours during the weekday sometimes.

Your pet

Dog
Breed: Coton de tulear
Age: 6 months old (born August 2010)
Neutered: Yes
Male

Your environment

2 room apartment
No garden but easy access to parks including a dog park
Lausanne, sous gare

Any other information
Our dog Ruben loves other people, especially children, and he loves to play with playful dogs who are small to medium sized. He doesn't do very well being left alone, but he does travel well and has a monthly pass for the Lausanne region. He's very adaptable to different schedules and lifestyles as long as he's included. He responds well to positive training and clicker training.

We would be happy to look after your small, playful dog.

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Fantastic idea!! We have a cat and would love to take in other people's animals when they go away. Our house is large and has a very nice garden (but no gate) to play in.

Currently, our house is under renovation (we had a fire in the sauna last week so we cannot live there for another 2 months). So we are looking for someone who can take care of our cat, Ginger, until the end of February or even the end of March (that would be up to you and how attached you get to her).

Your pet
Type of animal: cat
Breed: tabby/stray
Age of animal 5 1/2 years old
Animal spayed? No
Gender Female

Your environment: House with garden, no other pets except Ginger.
We are located in Wipkingen (Zurich).

Any other information
Ginger likes to run around outside, though has an equal penchant for being rubbed on her belly and sleeping near the radiator.

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Your pet
Type of animal: Dog
Breed: docile lap dog (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel)
Age of animal 8
Animal spayed? No
Gender Female

we are looking for someone to take our dog between 13th and 20th Feb in Zurich area

Unfortunately due to a new baby we are unable for a while to return the favour so I am looking to pay for someone to take care of her, preferably someone without dogs or a very quiet older dog, she doesn't like playful dogs.

It's a long shot i know but can anyone help or does anyone know or recommend a dog sitting in home service? I have contacted merseygirl but she's unavailable, I'm awaiting a response from Mitzys pet sitting

Thanks

Nicky

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hi all! Love the idea! My husband and I usually go for a couple trips a year (big one in December this year as we will have a new baby and are planning on going home to Canada for at least 3 weeks). We have always had someone come to our place to look after our dogs (usually university students or friends still living at home who love the idea of getting away from roommates/parents for a few days), which is also an option but as we are new to town don't have any on standby itching for us to leave town. So I thought I'd also put up our information here - I travel a bit for work too, but when I'm home, always glad to look after your dog as I know how hard it is to find people!

My pet
Type of animals: 2 dogs
Breed: 1 Samoyed and 1 American Eskimo (bigger white fluff ball and smaller white fluff ball)
Age of animal: 7 and 12
Animal spayed/neutered: yes for both
Gender: Samoyed - female, American Eskie - male

My environment
Apartment - 3rd floor
Garden: no, but big grassy areas right outside the apt building. We take our guys for 2-3 pee breaks each day along with 1-2 walks/runs a day.
Any other pets: just the 2 dogs
My location: Zurich-Richterswil

Any other information

Our 12 year old is a bit grumpy when meeting new dogs on a leash - has always had a bit of an inferiority complex so tries to make himself seem to be a dog to be reckoned with, but after about 3 seconds of actually meeting he is his usual self and happy go lucky so please don't be scared off by the first impression! Both dogs are rescue dogs and love being loved, and are complete sucks!

Re: Pet Sitting Network

I's like to add myself to this list:

Pet: Dog
Breed: Anatolian Shepherd Dog
Sex: Female
Age:9
Spayed/neutered: Yes
Name: Touka

Location Zurich 8032

We live in a flat right off the woods with lovely hiking trails - I don't work so I can walk the dog several times a day. Touka gets along very well with other dogs. I've had numerous dogs overnight before in the US without any troubles. We also have a cat in the house which my neighbor can take care of if we go away. I'd just need someone to take Touka if we were to go away. She's a sweet loving dog, large but low energy.
