Re: Pet Crematorium near Vevey or Lausanne

We're thinking of you over here, although I can offer no practical help, I'm very, very sorry to hear this sad news. I know how much it hurts to lose a pet. Just make sure to give your furball tons of love before the end.

Sorry -- I know this is redundant, but it's always nice to hear people care.

I am so sorry to hear about your dog Brightonite. 13 years is a good long life for a dog, but I know that to you it seemed too short. Sometimes it seems so unfair that they don't live as long as we do.
I am definitely with Mrs Doolittle on this one. You should think about getting yourself another dog. It may seem like you are replacing your old friend, but really it is just gaining a new friend, and will help ease the pain of your loss. Not to mention that there are always dogs in need of a good home.

He had a lovely life and he will give me very special memories for the rest of mine.
So sorry to hear his time came so soon. I haven't been through this yet and I just dread the thought but I hope when the time comes with one of ours I will be as brave as you.

One visit to the vet I saw a woman leaving who was sobbing and I decided that every vet's office should have a separate entrance for these situations.

I'm really sorry for your loss Brightonite. They really are a true member of the family.

The kindest thing you could have done was to stay until the end and hold him. A tribute to the companionship, trust and love shared.

I did this too with my lovely cat and I sobbed like a little girl.

Very sadly my best friend and shadow for the last thirteen years became very uncomfortable and a little distressed during the night on Sunday. First thing Monday morning he could hardly walk and didn't want his food so we took him to the vets in my arms and we all agreed that the poor little mite should be should be saved from any further indignation, unhappiness or pain. The vet was really gentle and he gave my boy a sedative before the lethal injection. We said our goodbyes whilst he looked up at me with his sad little eyes and faded away.
The vet had arranged for someone to collect him from Crematoire Animalier de Seon http://www.tierkremation.ch/site.php?id=1&langid=2 and they will deliver his ashes to us by the weekend.
He had a lovely life and he will give me very special memories for the rest of mine.
I shouldn't read this while pregnant... I am so emotionnal and it did make me cry. I am so so sorry for you lost! This is a very difficult time. My heart is with you.

Hi,
I'm Sybil.. i really could relate to your situation right now because I just lost a dear companion of mine too;just last month my Bill died..He is a 5 yr. old German
shepherd. He died because there was a tumor on his belly. I was really depressed.Saying goodbye to him is very hard. I got him Pet funeral Services Pittsburgh ,when I was still living there. He has been a companion of mine for 5 years when I have to be away for a job..
So sorry Sybil123. Almost a year to the day of us losing our Jack Russell we also lost his and our constant companion, Tog a Cocker Spaniel who was also unluckily 13, because a bad diagnosis from an incompetent veterinarian. Both dogs were cremated at http://www.tierkremation.ch/ and we have been very impressed with their caring services.
