Recently moved to Bern found these vets, was very impressed even though the very first visit ended up with one of our cats having to be put to sleep, be he'd had a very good life and it was the right thing to do.

A few days later we received a sympathy card from them written in English.
Sorry to hear about your cat but what a lovely thing for them to do.

Re: The Vet Thread (Recommendations)

Anyone have experience with Cabinet de TerreBelle in Montagny-la-Ville (FR)? Looks like the vet’s name is Nicolas Schafer. I’m thinking we’ll try this when we pick up our pup as it’s very close to our village, which I prefer as opposed to going into the Fribourg area (traffic and all).

Re: The Vet Thread (Recommendations)

English-speaking vet in Enge, been taking my furry family there for 3 years now. One of my cats has a somewhat rare chronic disease and I've been very happy with their care and competence. Would definitely recommend.

Re: The Vet Thread (Recommendations)

A shout for these vets http://www.ennetseeklinik.ch/site/index.cfm

Over the last 8 years all our cats have been looked after brilliantly by their various team members, as has been our aged English Springer Spaniel. A particular shout for Dr Jessica Smith who took over the palliative care program for our doggy, and helped her into doggy heaven yesterday - Dr Smith's bedside manner despite covid restrictions was superb.

They have many excellent English speakers within the practice, they have always been quick to respond with booking appointments, they have always been caring and gentle with our furry children, and have never missed a promised follow up call.

Re: The Vet Thread (Recommendations)

If you‘re in Winterthur or the surrounding area I highly recommend Dr Venessa Schifferle in Henggart. We started seeing her in April, for mostly palliative care for our pup, and she diagnosed heart disease, something our other vets missed. My dog was very calm with her. Yesterday, she helped us let our pup go, and was very gentle and kind. Our pup seemed comfortable.

Here‘s the website. She‘s very responsive on emails, and via phone and has some evening hours.

She understands English better than she speaks, when I write emails, I run them through deepl.
