Seeking adoption Cat(s)

We are a family based in Geneva Thonex looking to adopt cat(s) preferably one that is used to indoor life as we are on the 5th floor.

We are not looking for kittens, as they can't be trusted with balconies, and we have a huge balcony too big to cat proof.

We do have a 6 year old daughter so the cat(s) need to be happy around kids.

Anyone looking to re-home a cat - please drop me a line.

Thanks

Paul

Hi Bertrand

I am aware of them, and I will eventually go visit, but I thought I'd ask here first.

Cheers
Paul

Re: Seeking adoption Cat(s)

Since you are open for it, hope you go for 2 cats instead of one, they will keep each other company when you are away, play together and is sooo much fun!

Post pictures of the lucky one/s!

Re: Seeking adoption Cat(s)

Switzerland-wide database of homeless animals:

http://www.tierdatenbank.ch/cms/tier...unschtier.html

Chose the type of animal (chat), canton if you wish, and for indoor cats 'animal d'appartement', or 'aime les enfants', or other critieria, if you wish.

(FYI, I might not use 'child-friendly' as a primary search filter, though, as this is something not all rescues have the ability to test in a shelter environment. If you find an indoor cat who looks promising, speak directly to the shelter about testing to see how the cat gets on with kids. And of course, you will want to bring your child to meet the cat before deciding on adoption.)

Hope you find your new feline friend soon.

Re: Seeking adoption Cat(s)

Where are all those desperate people looking to get rid of all their feline friends? I thought for sure I would see them in here already.

OP, recently, we had this and this advertised. If your balcony is as large as you say, you may want to consider one of these. Lots of times an outdoor-ish cat will have only a bit of trouble readjusting to an predominantly indoor lifestyle.

Otherwise, I would keep an eye out in the Pet Trading Post. There are usually a couple a week or so looking to re-home...
