What's the process of getting a Nachmieter?

Hello

I have a large, nice 4.5 room ground floor apartment (large garden, large cellar, car port) at a very good price and I would like to find a 'nachmieter' - someone to take the rent when I leave the apartment at the end of October. The reason I am leaving is that the apartment is way too big for me to live in it alone.

I was told that I should set a couple of visiting times and get people to view it, fill in an application and get an original copy of their 'betriebsauskunft' and give it to the landlord.

Ok....so far so good...but where do I get this application form from?

Thank you :

It will or at least should be the same application form you filled in when you applied for the apartment.

As such, either obtain it directly from your Landlord or download from their website if this is an option. Either way, have several copies to hand for interested parties when you start the visiting process.

Good luck.

I've not been through this process but I'd think you need to use your Landlord's / Agency's specific application form. Why not get in touch with them to be sure?

Because I rented the apartment directly from the landlord not an agency....and the landlord is not reachable

Here's a form from the Mieterverband website:

How are the schools in your area? I might have a friend who needs a place!

Re: What's the process of getting a Nachmieter?

Thank you!!!

I love it here in Volketswil in fact I am moving to an apartment also in Volketswil. There is everything here, shops, schools, pharmacy, park, forest...all within walking distance. I am only moving out because the place is way too large for me and my doggy. I am moving to a smaller place...but my apartment is very cheap for what it is so if your friend is interested let me know as I will be looking for a nachmieter to take over the rent as from November 1.

thanks again for the form
