This is to announce the inaugural run of the Zürich Hash House Horrors - the junior chapter of the Zürich Hash House Harriers (ZH3)
There are quite a few Hash families now with kids who are too big to go in a buggy, but too small to run a full Hash - and this is where the idea starts.
The format of the runs is just the same as a normal Hash - with flour markings, checks, drinks stop, child-friendly circle afterwards and food / drink after the run. Of course the runs will be a lot shorter - so no more than a few hundred metres maximum.
The first run will take place as follows:
Hares: Cream Cracker, Coming Shortly, Garden Gnome
When: Saturday 29th Jan 2011, 11:00am
On-on: Bachwiesenstrasse 117, 8047 Zürich (buzzer Steven / van den Bosch)
Public Transport: Bus 67 / 80 - Albisriederdörfli; Tram 3: Albisrieden
Directions: Follow signs for "Kinderkrippe Schmetterling" - we are just
after the Kinderkrippe.
The run starts earlier than adult hashes to take account of when the kids will want to have their midday meal. We will provide some snacks and drinks for the halfway and the circle at the end. We plan to head to a nearby pizza restaurant afterwards -
RSVP by Thursday 27th Jan 2011 is much appreciated. In the event of the restaurant having too few spaces those who RSVP-ed will get priority.
