City/Town: Basel
Event Type: Sports
Meeting Point: Kletterhalle 7, Dornacherstrasse 192

Hi,

I've wanted to try the rock-climbing for a while.

Rang Kletterhalle - they've told me that there are beginner's lessons possible (in English), with duration of approx two hours. The total cost for the lessons is 110 CHF, which is split between 1-4 persons (this is the group size).

In addition, one needs to rent harness (7 chf ) and perhaps shoes.

I have never tried rock climbing before. Join if you feel you want to try something new.

The date is tentatively set, and I will book the time finally as soon as I have several people that are eager to join.

The drinks after the event (not before ) are likely, to relax sore muscles!

Cheers!

Postponed for next week; I have messed up a reservation due to my excellent German language skills.

See you next week!

Begga, a 'perfect place to pick up men'? Yikes!

Well, on second thought, guess you can pick 'em up when they fall down from the wall, but they won't be of much use then.

Re: Wall Climbing for beginners

The course is confirmed, Friday at 6pm.

The price for the course is:
2 hours for the instructor 2 x65 CHF = 130 chf (this is shared among all participants); this includes harness

20 chf per person (entrance fee)

you can use indoor gym shoes for climbing, or you can rent (8chf/pair)

See you on Friday!

M.

Great idea to organize something like that! I've been thinking about that before. Right now I'm quite "out of order" but I hope I'll be able to join you one evening in March Good luck on Friday!

Hi, can't wait! How do we recognize each other? Is there a meeting point? I've never been there before.

Re: Wall Climbing for beginners

It won't be difficult to recognize me; I am having beard, long hair, orange turban and half of my face is like a tiger.

Re: Wall Climbing for beginners

Was great good fun (as long as you didn't look down)

I think we plan to arrange another event soon.

It as really nice to meet everyone who attended and enjoyed the beers afterwards.

Re: Wall Climbing for beginners

Was awesome!

We enjoyed it; though you need an instructor to show you first few hours. We are all planning to meet again, to practice climbing.

After the first session with the instructor you can practice yourself (with a partner), so we will go and climb!
