Re: Jefferey's Curry Night, Basel

Bumpidy bump for a nice event.

I'm truly sorry to miss it, especially since the Prawns are a choice now. I'm addictive to the delicious prawns.

The curry nights are an excellent event for newbies in Basel to get to know some new and cool friends. You can't go wrong with the Basel Curry Nights.

Re: Jefferey's Curry Night, Basel

The Swiss television once did a documentary about Jefferey. He came from Malaysia and worked as a postman at first I think. He then did very well importing textiles from Malaysia and even supplied the Swiss army. I always used to go to his restaurant near the station before he moved and the food was excellent

Thanks for organizing Sherry!

I'll say "one of each" for myself and my guest - I'm flexible and don't know what she may want so will go for whichever table she doesn't.

Re: UPDATE!Jefferey's Curry Night, Basel

I want Indian, s.o. wants Thai. Not happy about sitting at separate tables, and leaving s.o. in the company of potential EF wierdos.

May we have Jefferey's table? Wouldn't want to miss an opp to hang out with the man.

Re: UPDATE!Jefferey's Curry Night, Basel

Recently I attended an EF function and only spoke to 3 members: The Goose, Glenda, and LIB.

As this was my first EF meeting I knew nobody. We sat at a table in the middle of the room. Only the Goose introduced himself.

I foolishly approached two people on the next table whom were not Dougal's Breakfast, nor Mathnut. They were not even EF members.

May I suggest that you adopt the Swiss habit of introducing yourselves? It would then be a more sociable EF event.
