Meeting Point: ZH HB

Are you interested in joining me for a Heli skiing day in Zermatt ?

We will fly op to Monte Rosa in 4200 meter above sea level, and ski 16000 meter offpiste down to Zermatt in 1600 meter. Monte Rosa is Europes 2nd highest mountain, and we will be just 400 meter from the top.

Note: This is for REALLY good skiers only. you MUST be capable of doing parallel turns even in deep snow. The Air pressure in 4200 meter is just ca. 55% of the air pressure at sea level, so good physical condition is a must.
The price for this pleasure is CHF 380 per person, and this includes the fee for the mountain guide

If you are interested, send a mail, with your phone number, so I can contact you in case of bad weather etc.

If you want to join, sign up no later than 26 February. I will speak with Air Zermatt friday, and they can tell me, if the conditions are good enough, and I confirm if we go or not on friday.

Skiers only. They do not permit snowboards on the Monte Rosa tour.

I will start from Zürich at 7.02, and if it is more convenient for you to join at another station, here the train details: http://fahrplan.sbb.ch/bin/traininfo.exe/dn/818328/272974/813482/133965/95?seqnr=4&ident=ce.06383247.1297279787&date=26.02 .11&station_evaId=8503000&station_type=dep&journey StartIdx=7&journeyEndIdx=13&

If you come from Geneva/Lausanne try to catch this train, where we will join in Visp: http://fahrplan.sbb.ch/bin/traininfo.exe/dn/991212/335636/852978/96088/95?seqnr=3&ident=ce.06383247.1297279787&date=26.02 .11&station_evaId=8501605&station_type=dep&journey StartIdx=2&journeyEndIdx=9&

Re: Heli Skiing Monte Rosa II

I start to feel, this activity is cursed

Have to cancel it again, until there is fresh snowfall.

They did offer another tour though on the other side of Matterhorn, but less altitude difference and CHF 60 more than Monte Rosa.

Excellent. I will PM you, when the conditions allow another heli skiing attempt.

True. But if only a small percentage does find it interesting and changes his/her viewpoint, then I am happy .
