City/Town: Zürich
Event Type: Dinner
Meeting Point: Suan Long, Langstrasse 11, 8004. Zürich

Well as the bunkum, baloney and eventual blatant bill-rigging of the Brazilian experience drifts gently out of sight - we can look back and say that despite the absence of the advertised `Brazilian dancers` (hell, that`s the only reason I went!) . . the food was excellent and we had another large and very friendly group of EFers.
Marching forward then into the realm of the big C and that means for us . . . . .CHINESE.
Therefore, I have booked a table for 16 people, at the SUAN LONG chinese restaurant which is tucked away in a quiet corner of Zürich . . . . Langstrasse, 11.
Looking through previous EF posts and also on-line reviews regarding Chinese restaurants in Zürich, it`s obvious that there are very mixed opinions regarding quality, authenticity . . so I`m sure that there will be some of you crying `Wah! . . should have booked xyz` . . . however, there were enough GOOD reviews about this place to warrant a booking . . . so there
The table is booked for 20:00 . . . that`s 8pm for those of you easily confused.
For details, see the link below:
http://suan-long.ch/suanlong/anfahrt/
Looking forward to seeing you there . . .cheers . . . Basher.

Even though I know it's going to be questionable, I'll come for the company.

I prefer my wikipedia raw, so I'll take the steam eggs with wikipedia.

Note that is not 'steamed' eggs, but ovulatory steam product.

Re: The A-Z of dining in Zürich

Okay okay okay . . . I did go in to the restaurant last wednesday evening and increased the reservation to 22 . . . they said it was fine and it`s okay to add even more (which I obviously need to do now!) . . . but they would like the final number by wednesday evening (23rd) if possible . . . so if you are down as a maybe . . . maybe you could confirm or not by then? Thanks . . . .looking forward to it!
Basher.

Definitely up for the pre dinner drinks as I will be out of work at about 6ish. Are the drinks still going ahead and, if so, how will I recognize everybody at the bar?

Hi Mike,

I'm the one with the horns. Most probably wearing a green shirt with golden lion and a "skank" hoodie.

Countries begining with 'D' (excluding cheating countries starting 'Democratic Republic of') are: -

Denmark
Djibouti
Dominica
Dominican Republic

All countries renown both for the excellence of their cuisine and its global proliferation.

We could could cheat and go for 'D'yer Maker'?

What about "Deutschland"? The choice ranges between http://www.zueritipp.ch/story/gastro...-den-cervelat/ and http://kunststuben.com/wp/

Well, this is 'English Forum' but I'm not a stickler for rules. I like German food.

So I need to look out for a devil in a bright green shirt? shouldn't be too hard to find.

Let's not blame Denmark for Switzerland's failings.
