Thx Ema | | | | | lol, I'm buying your meal if you show up in the frog costume.
No worries, Jay's is such a tiny place that you won't be able to miss us. As soon as you walk in the door you'll probably see one long table with about 16 English speakers lined up. That would be us. There isn't space for 2 such groups
Otherwise, I'll be the tall blonde (usually wearing something red too, but not sure for tonight).

Oh wait...
Just remembered a T-Shirt I have that will be funny for tonight.
Yeah, okay, so newbies; I'm the tall blonde in a blue T-shirt. No worries, you'll know me when you see me |

I googled "tall blonde in blue t-shirt" and clicked on "images". Don't do this at work!

Thanks to you all who came.
Full house, good food, perfect night, no trouble, no extra fees and fee shots after the dinner!
Nice to see all the newbies in Basel. Truly pleasant, I have the feeling we're having good times coming up with you guys!
We mentioned some upcoming events, don't recall all of them, but here we go: Stand Up Comedy in Basel with MATTHEW HARDY and MARLON DAVIS Basel Saturday Social Brunch at Zic Zac Basel Photoclub / something to do on a Sunday – Butterfly park We're having a party! Get dressed up and celebrate the Royal Wedding, Zurich - Not in Basel, but who'd skip the royal wedding?
Already looking forward to it!

Good to meet those who hit the Cargo bar after the curry. We went inside after a while and by the time we came out everyone else had gone! Oh well; didn't mean to seem rude; thought you'd pop in for another beer before going. The bar gets a bit weird once it gets to 1.30 anyway; random people were doing animal impressions and no one was finding it odd. Maybe it literally turns into a zoo.

Agreed Begga, the company was fantastic and the food was by far the finest I've had since I've been here. Easily the best night for me thus far in Basel, most of which was down to meeting such a great bunch. Thanks to you for your organisational prowess. Respect.
Hope to see a lot more of everyone- maybe starting with the comedy tonight- or if not, Liestal on Sunday. | The following 3 users would like to thank rjhbirm for this useful post:

Superb night! Thanks so much Begga for organising and everyone for the great company and giggles (and Jay for the grappa shots at the end of the meal... although it might make my day feel a bit long...)
Can't believe we left the pub before the animal impressions though!
Lots of people were mentioning plans to go to Liestel on Sunday, so hopefully those that are can all meet up to get the train there.
Just had a wee look and there seem to be plenty 530/6ish which should be perfect (starts 7 I believe). Plans afoot... | The following 2 users would like to thank sezdee for this useful post:

It gets really crowded in Liestal so if u wanna get a decent spot then earlier is better. If you haven't been warned already you will smell like a smoked fish (even after the first few laundry cycles) so wear old cloths. don't wear hairspray or flamable materials if u plan to be at or near the front. It DOES get that hot. I was right in the front row last year so maybe it was worse for me than others but all the warnings are true. All really fun though so worth it! | The following 4 users would like to thank JustRose for this useful post:

Thanks JustRose!
Hmm, smoked fish ey?! Lovely. Seen some pics of previous ones though and looks amazing, and worth the risk of a singed eyebrow or two |
