Re: Tues 8.03.11 Indian meal Bern, "Bismillah Curry House"
If I was in Bern on Tuesday I would go for sure! I LOVE a nice curry, although I think I like the English version rather than true authentic but would like to try a more authentic option to be sure. I'm in Bern (well Spiez) at the end of May/June as well as for 3 weeks in August, so I'll look out for events.
One thing England has over Switzerland is curry houses.

Well done for organising it (for yourself).
It's a pity that the "What to do in Bern" and "Looking for friends In Bern" types couldn't have got involved.
Unfortunately, from my perspective to get from where I am (not in the city), to Bern (and back) on a weekday evening, is not a viable proposition, if I want to enjoy the full wine and dine experience.
I'll leave you with a parting gift (with which I'm sure you're familiar):

The company was depressing, the surroundings were dull, but the
!!! Curry was Great !!!
I'm sorry to hear the event was a flop this time. If it's any consolation, I once organised an event to which only one other person turned up... and in the end I married her.
Better luck next time!

That's a bit drastic! Anyway I have been married 3 times, and didn't find it a solution to any of my problems.

Yes agreed.
I only organised it for the people who were looking for "something to do". Anyhow, the curry was lamb, no fat, very tender, large portion, spicy and very nice flavour. I will go again, and alone!
And as for the parting "GIFT (= poison)" you very nearly got a groan...! I'll leave you with a parting gift (with which I'm sure you're familiar):

Maybe a reason why people didn't want to turn up, was because of the venue -- they were unsure whether they would ever be able to leave the restaurant before the devil took them.
"Bismillah! No, we will not let you go
(Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go
(Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go
(Let me go.) Will not let you go
(Let me go.) Will not let you go. (Let me go.) Ah
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
(Oh mama mia, mama mia.) Mama mia, let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me"
