| | Football Australia vs Germany - 29th March, Geneva
Hey all just moved to Geneva, and I'm still finding my feet around here. On the 29th of March the Socceroos are playing Germany in a World cup rematch (those dam krauts beat us 4-0 in Sth Africa, still very bitter). As a HUGE fan of the Socceroos the real reason I have moved to Switzerland is the go to more socceroos games however, unfortunately I wont be able to get to Monchengladbach for this one so I have come to the EF fountain of knowledge to find a good place to watch it here in Geneva.
Are there any good Aussie or Sports bars with a good vibe here in Geneva?
Are there any EFers interested in heading down to watch it?

once you have the venue for the pre-game "social lubrication", post an event on the social pages.
....post it, and they will come !!!!
@Monkeynut re: Soccerroo games in Oz
The answer is no.
Besides, most of the Australian team lives over here anyway.
I'd love to see that re-match.
the 4-0 wooping we got was a disgrace.
(needles to say that Germany also played really well)

What was the score for England / Ghana? | | | | | It was the most competitive friendly i have seen for a while. it finished a 1:1 draw, best result really both teams played really well. england was without terry rooney lampard heskie cole etc and frankly looked all the better for it

Germany should be able to run half a team of blind school girls onto the field against Australia and win.
Friendly or World cup final, there is no excuse for your embarrassing loss.
suck it up.

suck it up. | | | | | Yep. But: It was a test game and that was what the coach did: test young players. I guess I know who is not playing in the upcoming European Cup... BTW did Germany with the first choice of players beat Kasachstan 4:0 last weekend in the qualifier - so it is the same as always, they only put real effort in it when it counts. They have a track record of embarrassing games in test games, I remember a draw against Luxembourg (!)...
P.S: The team did actually not play as badly as the result makes you believe - they were clearly dominating much of the game. But at the end you need to make the goals...
