Great idea Joey82!
Will be fun looking around and hopefully finding some great bargains to boot.
Looking forward to hearing about how it went.

The times I've been (2 or 3!) there seemed to be a bit of everything!
Lots of records, old electrical items (old cameras, mobile phones, kitchen items, record players/hifis etc etc), kitchenware, clothes, shoes, jewellery... oh, and some 'lovely' pictures
Also furniture, bikes, and a bit in the middle where kids can sell things for free I think...
There was even a 'gratis' pile of things last time i went... but I don't think they were going anywhere
What's that phrase now... one person's junk is another person's treasure. | Quote: | | | | | Just curious, i know i can find out for myself tomorrow, but what types of things are sold here? At any other flea market i have been to (which is less than a handful) it is usually horrible old smelly stuff. | | | | | | The following 2 users would like to thank sezdee for this useful post:

Maybe you can find a neat old raclette grill and use that for baking instead of an EZBake? (I've been wondering if they'd work for that?)
Although from what I recall of how the EZBakes are / were decorated, you'd probably be hard pressed to find a raclette grill as "pretty". | This user would like to thank Peg A for this useful post:

As I finished my prep for tomorrow tonight, I believe I'll be there in the morning.
I'll check here before I leave to see if anyone is stuck and needs company while they're lost - I can't promise to help find the way but hey, we'll have fun being lost.
I will need to nip home to pick up my tarts though before heading for BBQ.
Really really looking forward to being out n about this weekend. | This user would like to thank Peg A for this useful post:

Hey, shouldn't you be in bed by now getting lots of beauty sleep ready for later today at the Flea Market or is it another all-niter for ya?

Hey guys,
where did all of you disappear? We were looking for you around 1:00 PM because we wanted to leave. Our daughter was getting cranky because it was getting closer to her nap time and we had to bail on cmirsky's BBQ event to get home.
It was great to see some new faces and we look forward to meeting you guys at the next event and spend much more time.

Good mroning All,
Just found my way back home from what was a great day and night in Basel.
Thanks again for all who showed up to visit the Flea market.
For future interested people, imagine back to the 80's style, you walk by things that you say " woooow i grew up with that "
None the less an interesting event , a "must have " for people that live near Basel and like it Old School.. where else you can you find a copy of Fligh Simulator 98 with a non working joystick, classic !
Most disturbing things we found were the dentist tools.. i am not kidding you, the hooks, mirror thingie..all of it for sale on the market.
Nostalgia amongst many other words spring to mind
Anyway it was lovely to meet you all and i hope we will see eachother on other events soon.
Thanks again all of you,
Joey
