Motorcycle rides out 2011 No 2

Hi guys

Lets set sunday 03rd April as the next date, as weather is looking good for this weekend. So far we have 4 avail for this date, myself, Paulo, Bob and Mike, but the more the merrier.

Suggest we meet between 0900 - 1000, depending on where we go and where people have to come from. Maybe stay within CH this time, route suggestions are always welcome.

Chris

Re: Motorcycle rides out 2011 No 2

I have a satnav so will programme RPFs route in in case he can't make it.
Do we feel a 10:00 meeting time is okay, to let people coming from slightly further away meet and stretch legs before riding off again.

How does everyone else feel about the proposed route??

Weather deffo looking good :-)

Re: Motorcycle rides out 2011 No 2

I guess many people have a satnav now, I myself have a Zumo 660...

Would it be an idea that the routes are posted in a general GPS format (gpx
or whatever they are called) ? Slower people then don't have to try and keep up
with the fast crowd, because of the satnav the slow people will be able to ride
the same route and meet up with the fast boys at the next bar / eatery.

Hi BasP72

Thats always a possibility, but we normally stick together, stoping for all to catch up if needed at junctions etc.

Don't worry BasP, as Slim has mentioned the fast boys tend to have an accommodating mentality in looking out for the "slow" set, to ensure that everyone sticks together and has a good time, something that I really appreciate though how "slow" is "slow"??

I am assuming that you are coming along then?

On this route probably better for me to meet at Pfyn and drop off at Wattwil. Also, around the Wattwil leg, cup of tea and a slice of cake at my place?

Re: Motorcycle rides out 2011 No 2

Still looking at routes, as Jorn has suggested something in the Jura area, or possibly a route going south, as Mike wants to come with us, and he's coming up from Brienzwiler. So route not fully locked in yet. Any other ideas always welcomed.
Bob, you have anything down your way heading south ??

Just let me know what you all think.

Just click on the touren list, seems that there is one for the Jura region.

That's just ridiculous. Absolutely crazy. This sort of thing really annoys me - there is no way that helmet is EU Certified .
