Calling all Cyclists......

It's that time of year again -Time to kick off another great season of cycling in beautiful Switzerland! Hopefully you've already gotten a chance to get out and ride in the nice springtime weather we've enjoyed recently.

We're repeating the tradition of having this beginning-of-season social since it has been successful in the past --It's been a nice way to meet cyclists who may be new to the area, plan rides for weeknights and weekends...and also to discuss plans for the season regarding cycling events and trips coming up this summer.

So if you are a cyclist, come on out and join us for a toast to the new season!

All who enjoy the power of two-wheel motion (under your own human power) are welcome -- knobby tires or smooth, touring or race-style, lycra or not

Don't be shy if you haven't met any other cyclists here yet... This is a good chance for that. All are welcome!

Where: Restaurant Reithalle

When: Friday April 29th starting at 6:30pm (till whenever they kick us out!)

What: The plan is to enjoy some conversation and beverages in the restaurant courtyard in the back, and those who are interested can also order dinner. Come stop by for a few minutes to say hello, or stay for the whole evening if you can!

Re: Cyclist Social

Looking forward to meeting all you cyclists out there, and seeing some of you whom I haven't seen since last summer!

We have a reservation in the courtyard at Reithalle for 25 people. Please RSVP no later than 27th April so that I can give them an updated count.

Please note I will be offline until Monday 11th of April. If there are any questions I will address them after then.

We live in one of the best places in the world for cycling, so I look forward to planning with you how we can continue to make the most of that!

Hi there, is the focus more on road bikes or mountain bikes? Both?

The focus is on food and beer but both fat and skinny tyre fans will be well represented !!

Re: Cyclist Social

I've got to work that afternoon, but I will try to finish early and get down there for drinks. After all, I don't want to miss the "pre-season cycling tan" competition.

Great! It wouldn't be the same without you there... and yes, that "cycling tan competition" could be a good one after all the sunshine we've been having lately

Re: Cyclist Social

I hope everyone had a good weekend and got to enjoy some cycling to make the most of the great weather we've been having....

Looking forward to the cyclist gathering this Friday -- Please could you RSVP by the end of the day Wednesday, so that I can give the Restaurant the headcount? That means you "Maybe"'s as well! - If you could possibly choose Yes or No (hopefully Yes!) that would be helpful. As you know - we live in Switzerland, the land of planning in advance

Of course you all are still welcome to "drop by" if you can on Friday, and can decide at the last minute - We'll still let you in But hopefully we can get as many Yes's as possible determined in advance. Thanks!!
