Just a tip - if you meet at Enge at 5pm you are unlikely to get anywhere near the Böög until after the main event has finished. The area is usually packed with people and you can't push through.

After 5pm it is nearly impossible to get to Bellevue. Maybe we just go down to the lake and have a few beers. After the official parade and after the Böög exploded we can leave for the Sechsiläutenwiese to the Volkswurstbraten.

Very roughly by when do you expect the Böög to be a goner today ?

(meaning possible to get down to Bellevue)

So prof, what time are you planning to move in Bellevue?
I'd like to join, but I would prefer to avoid to push people to see a white puppet exploding... so I was thinking the earlier the better... and of course more time to drink beer

The BBQ on the Sächsilüütewiese will start around 7.30 to 8.00pm. At 6.30pm the Böög will be exploded and most people will leave. From there you'll have to wait for at least an hour to get to Bellevue without pushing.

we left Rentenanstalt at 5:30 pm and we made it to the Böögg just on time to see it all

We stayed by the lake until 22:30pm eating wurst, drinking beer and listening some good Jimmy Hendrix sound

It was fun

Thanks for organising a top notch evening Aldo, especially the 4-hour sausage grilling. They turned out pretty good.

For the German readers amongst us, there's a funny article in the NZZ about the three different types of people at the festival - I think they say they're called the 'party-goers', the 'amazed onlookers' and the 'front-row flirts'.

Can't see it online yet, but it's p.18 of the NZZ Zurich section.
