This may not be an 'official' event but thought I would throw it out there to see if anyone else would like to do it...and slightly late notice but just incase anyone is at a loose end this wkend.

Since it is bank holiday this wkend I have decided to set a route to cycle from Solothurn to Basel via the Weissenstein Pass/strasse...(one of the steepest roads sections in CH apparently...22%)

Trains are an hour Basel to Solothurn via Olten. So I expect a morning start with 5-6 hours including stops if required...

Route is just a guess but is expected to be in the region of 90-100km
I am not a hard core roadie but like to keep a good pace..of 25-30km on the flat. Rode Acherlipass near Luzern last week with no problems..

People can join or end in Delemont/other places, exact details can be decided upon later. If anyone has ideas on the route then these will be gladly received.

If the weather moves and the better day is Monday then I will go then instead. If is due to rain all weekend..then sod it..I will go MTBing instead..

If noone can make it I will still be doing it...
