I'm keen (also 22, English and a man).

FYI:

Over 30 = ancient.

Over 35 = antediluvian.

I think most people find it amusing that the OP is looking for someone to drink with based on the year they were born rather than common interests or just friendly jovial socialability (word?).
I'm postive (having met a few of the people) that if you were to line them up and guess ages, you'd be off almost all the time. But I'm sure that some even decades older will act younger and some younger will look and act older.

It was just an amusing (perhaps sorta sophomoric) thread posted to a public forum and it took the troll bait, but I think everyone (including the OP) is having a good time with it --regardless of age.
You're wise beyond your years young chemmie
Life is much more interesting when you mix with people of different ages - I think that's why I loved the EF events - you not only meet people of all nationalities but also ages, interests etc - I even met a few acceptable Swiss ones

Oh, swissotter. The two of us out on the town was always a sight to behold.

But yeah, that's why I like EF events. The mix, the blend, the diversity.

And the fact no one ever believes me when I say my age. :P

Are you a 16 year old girl looking like 40, or a 40 year old looking like 16?

(I have a husband at home that once and a while still gets asked ID on bars, but has been over the limit for over a decade... )

I either get told I'm 5 years younger or 5 years older than I am. Not quite sure what that says about me.

Ancient is dead and buried. As we are all typing here, so I would not say ancient. I would would say old enough to have an ID which allows us to procure (for youngsters that means to buy). As you get older and wiser you will learn the proper way to ask such a question
