Reposted until the end of Summer... We are still hanging around on walls, protected only by a sturdy rope and a partner clinging on at the bottom... Come join us

The Venue is behind e IPSOS in Gundeli. Tram 15/16 or bus 36

NOTE We climb on Wednesday's Friday's and Sundays. Check with me for Sunday climbing in advance in case people are away

Fridays we usually head over to the Unser Bar next door for a beer and rag on those too unfit to climb... Wednesday's as we feel

Updated: we are normally there at 6:30pm. Let me know if you are interested in a sunday "work off the hangover" session. Kletterhalle opens at 10:00, I am usually there around 11. We also climb some other nights if you wish to join us another time

i made 2 inspection visits to this hall last year but noticed every rope in the hall was in urgent need of replacement. All were badly frayed and worn eg 11mm one end - the other down to about than 8mm, 2 ropes on the popular routes were down to 7mm on the belay - they obviously didnt rotate the ropes.

Also noticed large amounts of grit on the floor and some items which had been there for 3 weeks so no cleaning of the floor.

I assume the situation has changed?

Ropes are being replaced. They are safe enough. The floors are also clean

ta for info, maybe ill have a look again, it was just surprising to see and made me wonder what else wasnt checked if the obvious things were ignored.

Am new to Wall climbing as well. Would you guys be around this Wednesday? If yes, I would like to try myself out... Hope it's not as hard as learning German could be...
