School summer holidays will start next weekend. It will be VERY busy down south.
I can't make it on the Sunday, there's a family event.

Hi guys! I'm kinda new here so I'll start by saying my name is Andrei and I've been living in Aargau for the past 8 months. My little Hornet loves the road, but so far I did only 2 or 3 rides here. I went to Furka and Grimsel on a Thursday so it wasn't so much traffic. I'd like to join you, doesn't matter the destination as long as it is onroad |

I am back this weekend with some free time. As long as it is not raining I am down to go anywhere for a ride.

Chris | | | | | I'm always up for the central passes, but I generally do them mid-week to avoid the tourists.

Always better Tom, but the group always ends up riding the weekends, as that's when most are free. Today, the Furkka was okay, Simplon was too much roadworks coming over the top.

You could do it the other way round: motorway to Lucerne-Giswil, Brünig-Meiringen-Innertkirchen-Grimsel-Gletsch-Furka-Andermatt, down to Altorf-Klausen, (Mollis-Kerenzerberg-motorway back to ZRH).
This route is still busy but avoids the traffic jams towards Gotthard.

Robert | | | | | If you do it that way, I could do Gotthard-Susten and meet you at Innertkirchen.

Worked Roberts route out in Tomtom, just over 300km, but thats door to door from my place. Have included a meeting point just off the A3 on Lielistrasse which is between tunnels, so only decent place to pull off and meet.. Will upload the itn file for tom tom and drop a link in later.
I missed out the Klausenpas, but we can see how we are doing, and once we get to Altdof, make a decision.
Meeting time 0930 at the meeting point, ulness people want to meet at mine.
Tom, we should be at Innertkirchen around 1030.
Attatched is zip file with tomtom itn route file.

OK, if I leave at 8:30 and take the highway and tunnel, and then the Susten, I'll be there by 10:30.
Then I'll leave you guys at Andermatt, and take the Oberalp and Lucomagno home.

Weather forecast for sunday is not good, so will keep an eye on it. May have to move to saturday if we want to ride and be dry.

Not looking the best is it. Fingers crossed for Sunday as I have plans Saturday from mid afternoon. And I suspect 300km over passes is going to take up a fair amount of the day...

Hi guys
Weather forecast is still saying sunday is going to a bad day for riding, including thunderstorms in Zurich, so Change day to Saturday 16th Route remains the same, Grimsel and furka passes.
