11.09.2011 15:00 to 23:59
*The times shown may change, depending on DST settings
City/Town: Adliswil (Zurich)
Event Type: Dinner
Meeting Point: Pot Belly's, Soodring 21

PLEASE READ THIS POST. PLEASE READ THIS POST. UPDATE!!!

Come one, come all...The proper Sunday roast is on. And the pool is free.

The doors will open at 15.00 for us and the buffet will start between 15.30 and 16.00. It will be all-you-can-eat and last until 20.00. The bar will stay open (still with free pool) until around 00.00.

Menu (there will be, at a minimum, the following):
Roast Beef and (UPDATE) Roast Pork
Roast Potatoes
Mashed Potatoes
3 kinds of Veggies
Yorkshire Puddings
Gravy
Dessert: Apple Pie and Cream
Drinks are *not* included

Price: Between 45-60CHF (depending on the number of confirmed attendees). 50CHF deposit per person to me by SEPT 1 to guarantee your spot(s). If we have enough attendees at that time, I can still collect money and take more names until 5 days before the event.

Kids 12 and under: 25CHF---the venue also has a little play area for them

Location:
Pot Belly's
Soodring 21
8134 Adliswil
http://www.potbellys.ch/

It is a short 14 minute ride on the S4 from the Zurich main station (you do need a zone extension). Trains run every 20 minutes off track 1, and Pot Belly's is literally above the Sood-Oberleimbach stop. There is some parking available nearby as well.

Any questions, let me know.

Please read the thread for updates...so far there has been three or four!

Also, please RSVP separating your adult guests from your children guests. Thanks in advance.

Late registrant, got 'permission' from the wife . Would like to come along for a couple of hours with my 4 and 5 year olds. Both of which are obsessed with the local red train anyway.

Adjusted accordingly

Was going to sneak him in and hide him until I remembered how many Yorkshire puds he tucked away last time he had a Sunday roast

Money update...

There are a couple ways to get me your deposit:
1. PM me and I will send you my address so you can send it through the post. I could also send you my IBAN information, but I would prefer this to be a "last" option.
2. Starting August 10, there will be an envelope at grumpy's cheese stand at the Viadukt everyday except Wednesday, where it will be at Zurich main station. If you go this route, please fill out the form on the envelope completely. If the event doesn't end up working out, I need to be able to get you your money back. Please also give the proper amount--this is up to YOU and not up to grumpy or UM to confirm. It is 50CHF per person and 25CHF per child up to 12 years old. Either grumpy or UM will then initial the amount of money collected. This is the only way I know you paid what you should...

I will update here once a week who has paid so that you know I received your money.

Also, the week before Sept 1, depending on how many people still need to pay, I will make myself available to "meet up" and collect money.

I hope this makes it as easy for everyone as possible.

Re: All-You-Can-Eat Sunday Roast

My bf picked up lots of $$ yesterday but forgot to write down the list of paid peoples, so I can't actually confirm "who" paid... but I do have your money (insert evil laugh here). Also, I received Aristellia's money in the mail.

I would appreciate if some of the maybes would confirm either way...

Will give a final YES or NO on the event after tomorrow evening. Thanks everyone!

I don't want to put a number on it...but with 30, we would definitely be on. I will talk to the owner on Saturday or Sunday.
