It was a good trip - but due to the weather the Klettersteig was a no-no.
When I arrived at Engelberg it was raining quite hard and so I took the cable car up to Traubsee and then hiked up to the Jochpass. Form here the Klettersteig starts and by this time it had actually stopped raining. The visibility improved from about 50 metres up to over 10km!
Having said that, it was still very cloudy and I knew it was only a matter of time before it closed in again.
I checked out the start of the klettersteig and having my kit with me, I must confess to being tempted

. However, the notice stating `This Klettersteig is extremely dangerous when wet` jolted me back to reality - that and the fact that I was alone.
That does not bother me normally but hell . . . I may LOOK stupid . .

.
So I hiked on up towards the ridge east of Titlis and got to just under 3000m when there were signs of a new weather front coming in and so I decided to call it a day.
Actually it held out until I was 400m from Engelberg station . . . when the mother of all rainstorms broke - Lucky . . . or what?

Unfortunately I am away on holiday from friday but will organise another(?) klettersteig trip for the 27th or 28th August. Sorry I can`t join any in the meantime - we`ve been dogged with the bad weather
