City/Town: Zurich
Event Type: Other
Meeting Point: Nimmi, Josefstrasse 137, 8005 Zurich

Hi all,

As it happened last week, I was reading this thread and got curious (gotta love culinary threads, especially the controversial ones).

Some said it's a great place, some said it's awful...I say let's give it a shot!

Nimmi Restaurant & Take Away
Josefstrasse 137, 8005 Zürich
043 321 38 76

I understand this is both a restaurant and a take away, so depending on the size of the place and the number of people, we can either eat there or take away and sit somewhere else. I leave the options open.

I shall be there in front of the place at 12, ready for a new culinary adventure! I hope to see many of you there

Federica

My brother's was amazing, by the way.

If I can get out of a work thing on time, I shall. Otherwise, I will see you at the party on Friday (which I am really, really looking forward to!!!)

I look forward to seeing you all, and trying this food!!! From my work it's a 10-minutes distance, so very close. I shall see you there at 12. I will go inside and start seeing what the menu is and the seating situation.

Btw, I am wearing a blue blouse and a beige skirt, and my (crazy) hair is up today

Re: A Taste of Sri Lanka (or India?) - Lunch in Zurich

Thanks to the friends who came out, excellent company!

As for the food, I liked it. It was a big portion, it was tasty, and it was cheap. The shrimp curry was a bit on the spicy side for me, but totally edible - I am not a big fan of spicy (as in "hot", not "spices").

I am not going to go into any political discussion, but strictly from a food point of view (and strictly my personal opinion) I was satisfied with the price/quality ratio.

Well that clears up an earlier rant nicely !

That was me actually but with a dress if it makes it any better

Girls it was great to see you both looking gorgeous as usual.

And about the restaurant, it is a small take away that has the space to sit and eat there as well, the personal was friendly with us, they had a limited menu but very delicious. The food at that time of the day was not re-heated in microwave and all was fresh and yummy. I ordered OF COURSE the 3.50 mango juice and was delicious.

Thanks Federica and Oldhand for the lovely talk.

BTW I have evidence.

Re: A Taste of Sri Lanka (or India?) - Lunch in Zurich

I'll second Federica's opinion. I asked for something hot and really enjoyed the chicken curry. Wouldn't recommend for large groups who have to get back to work in a hurry.
