i just came back from stein am rhein. last time i was there i was 12 with my parents; it was just amazing to see it again! we could hang out there for a while
so that's a suggestion for a destination. or have u guys gone there recently?

With 18 rides under our belts this year, can't remember where we've been, just that it's always been fun.

Not sure where we are going, maybe a collection of passes, or maybe Robert will have something suitable for a large group of us. Keep any on here for more details :-)

As this would be the first time ill come along, id like to ask if you guys usually take the freeway to the region where you wanna ride or the highway?

I thought about that today so i took the freeway to winterthur and back to practice. I realize i dont like the freeway too much :). Id cruise at 100kmph but over 110 is quite unconfy on my bike.

There are some nice passes around Davos .... not that I will be there but we haven't gone over in that direction. Or you could to a Robert "Mile Muncher Special" by doing Stelvio and back

Another idea:
Meet at roundabout Pfäffikon/Schwyz, proceed to Sattelegg - Ibergeregg - Schwyz - Altdorf - Klausen - Linthal - Mollis Airfield, those who like have a look at US cars & bikes, those who don't head for home. Three passes and some fun.

OK, seems we have plan coming together.

Route as suggested to Mollis, lunch at Mollis, then return home. Can route from Mollis back north off autobahn and do some more scenic roads, letting people drop off for places like Thalwil etc, eventually picking up autobahn where A3 and A4 meet for the rest to split off and autobahn home to Basel, Wettingen and Buchs. Probably around 250 km all told.

If we go for a meet at the resturant for 0930, then that means I'm meeting Ric at Würenlos Movenpick services southbound at 0830, plus probably Will and Emese from Basel, to get us to Pfaffikon by 0930. Is everyone ok with this, or do you want it moved 30mins.

Matt, that would put us at your place 0900, or 0930 if we delay 30min.

We usually cruise at 120 on Autobahn, but once we get to Pfaffikon resturant, then we are down to slower speeds. Don't worry, we always wait at junctions for any stragglers :-)

We do prefer if the new guy brings along his good-looking wife, generally. Otherwise, no requirements.

Most of us bring motorcycles .

Anyhoo, don't worry about the speed - I'll have my daughter on the back so will also be taking it easy.
