Nice to see Gata, and a few other EFers yesterday (including one very spcial one who abandoned her husband and son to help me serve - thanks again!), it certainly was a little cool but at least the rain soon stopped. At least the cooler weather helped persuade folk to drink lots of Hot Toddies.
The sky is clear this morning and the forecast is good so looking forward to seeing some new faces today!

Bring sun cream, it's going to be hot!

Nice to meet TiMow too, thanks for keeping me company at the end and fixing my van light!
Sunday was busy and very hot, 2 highlights for me... being interviewed by Radio Fribourg about me selling Scottish cheese in Gruyere country
And then right at the end, a very Swiss farmer looking chappy with bristly beard was peering at our signs... "Schottischer Käse?!?!?". He motioned some friends over, no doubt thinking he could have some fun at my expense. He tried our Blarliath cheddar with a grimace... then his face changed and his eyebrows raised as he commented suprisingly... "this is good".... and the comments got even better with the Shropshire and Bio Stilton.
It turn out he was a well known Gruyere cheese maker from the next village. He was so impressed he ordered 5 kg's of British blues to sell at his own chese shop in the village. I felt pretty chuffed!

Seems like you all had a great time. Shame I couldn't make it in the end; didn't get back from Europapark till 8.30 Saturday and didn't leave Bern till 6.00 on Sunday. I'll just have to make up for it next year. |

Grumpy is over-dubbed in French though Radio Fribourg | The following 2 users would like to thank Deep Purple for this useful post: | |
