I propose a trip to the EGGSTOCK where there are 3 routes A,B and C which are all connected.
They are graded at KS3 - 5 respectively and the suggested duration for theA and B together is 4.5 hours.
Therefore I would propose that we do on A and B, then see how we feel before carrying on.
This will be my second trip to EGGSTOCK, having previously completed the A and B routes - I would like to have a go at the C if possible.
I will travel by train from the Zurich HB to Braunwald via the Braunwald bahn which leaves at Linthal.
There are 2 proposed starts from Zurich HB:
06:12
- arriving in Braunwald at 08:32
Second one is around 07-15 from Zurich HB - I will check that.
Then we can either hike up to the start or take the cable car from Braunwald to Gumen (1904m)
I know which start time I would prefer (06:12) but I would go with the majority . . . subject to any interest of course!
As I stated in an earlier post for the Klettersteig group - I am not a leader with any qualifications - I am just organising the trip.
You will need :
Walking shoes or boots
Klettersteig kit including harness
Helmet
gloves (optional)
Please be aware that this trip is not suitable for total beginners (in my opinion).
I cannot stop you going without the neccessary gear - but for sure you will not be coming with us if you turn up without it - sorry about that.
